Mirage does not have the amount of CM it should have (and it was acknowledged by Gaijin), so the fun is very limited, unfortunately

@@guimbitencourt it’s really not you, the flankers are just not as competitive when it comes to their radars. Their radars are horrible in comparison to everything else at top tier. I may even go as far as saying the F4J has a better radar (at least in terms of air rb) since it’ll pick up a hot target immediately while the flankers may need 10 full seconds of looking directly at the target before they see it… and still they may not want to lock it.

Low key very helpful part of this video is watching you notch and dodge missiles that are shot from closer in where a normal notch won't work. Good stuff, I love my Gripen C although I think the Darters are still worse than the aim120s.

Although the AIM-120 is better, trust me, the R-Darter makes this plane much more fun, and it's a strong combo. Let's just say that the Gripen is not a platform that fully exploits the AIM-120's potential

This is the current Gripen model I’m grinding for Edit - Wish my dumbass would have inspected the tech tree a bit closer and realized that I would have to research the strike fighter line in order to unlock, must’ve forgotten that change , could have sworn it was researchable, now have to double back to the harrier and jaguar 🤧

Well, the general opinion about this is influenced by considering the launch platforms. So, disregarding the launch platforms, my favorite missiles are: Derby/R-Darter, R-77, and PL-12. But, in a general meta, the strongest ones are: AIM-120, AIM-54, and PL-12

The Gripens are physically and electronically identical. The only difference is that the South African Gripen in the British line carries Israeli export missiles, the "R-Darter". These are Derby missiles renamed for sale to other countries

Both missiles are really good. The darters pull a little more than the amraam but the amraam outranges it. Both pull plenty enough to hit maneuvering targets but you’ll have a more forgiving time using the darters and derby at closer ranges. Hope this helps

Well, if you don’t have many things unlocked on your account, it might be worth selling it and investing in a premium package to grind the tech tree, especially considering there’s an extremely similar one in the line. In theory, you wouldn’t lose anything. There’s a small chance that in the future, it might have a lower BR than the C-S5 due to the number of countermeasures, but that’s unlikely. It’s up to you to analyze how much you like it and how much you would gain by selling it. :)

Not in the first turns; most planes can get inside the Gripen's turning circle. With the Gripen, you need to prolong the dogfight and try to bleed the opponent's energy as much as possible. The longer the fight lasts, the more advantage you'll have
