I can't begin to tell y'all how much I personally love this podcast. I found it by chance when searching for videos for bible study. Once i realized how amazing it is, I went back to the 1st podcast and have watched every single episode. I honestly went from not being a big fan of Zach to absolutely loving his takes on things. I usually 100% agree with what Zach has to say. I would really like to hear more from Phil, his wisdom does not grow tiring even after nearing 900 episodes. And Al I can't tell you how endearing you are and when you get tickled i end up laughing along. Finally there is Jase, some days I love him some days I wish he'd get tiredof talking 😂 I joined the Unashamed Nation a while back (on fb) and feel like it is the most healthy group on that platform. It is moderated so well. I am Unashamed, my son is Unashamed. We are living for Christ, being bold in this Spiritual war this world of ours is in. Blessings from Saskatchewan, Canada 🇨🇦 😊

I am from the same small town ( Riverside - less than 7000 people ) as Jersey Joe. I returned to the Lord by listening to Unashamed and joined WFR remotely. Phil helped me by baptizing me right after the churches started meeting after the pandemic. Godly people in the heart of New Jersey, all drinking Tak-A-Boost. God Bless.

23:48 I like the format of this podcast. It feels like we’re listening to a conversation. The reason you all don’t really have to prepare for the podcast is you all are steeped in God’s Word. There’s years and years of studying in the many layers of your knowledge of Christ and His Word. You know we sit around and talk about the things of the world like this all of the time. It’s refreshing to read a verse of scripture and have a conversation about it.

I never tire listening to others tell and talk about our Jesus who gave all for us! Never gets old for me! I love to hear people discuss and talk about what Jesus has done and will do for them and me! He loves us beyond belief! In this evil fast paced world it is Jesus who gives me contentment and peace and soothes my sorrows and takes away my anxiety when the evil one attacks! Oh how Jesus loves you and me!

I used to work as a DJ/KJ in several local country bars while I was very active in the church. I maintained an appropriate action and language and spoke about Jesus to everyone I could in that bar. I brought several ppl to Jesus within that atmosphere. The church kicked me out because I wouldn't quit my job.

You were practicing our great commission. But they assumed you couldn't maintain your standards ... because they would be tempted. I was auditor for a local casino, I asked our pastor if I was permitted to accept the job. He asked me 2 questions #1) will you be tempted to gamble? I answered emphatically "no". #2) Did I think I could be a light in the dark place? I was surprised that my spirit enthusiastically said "yes!" I was avoided by the staff for a while, but then people started coming to me for prayer. Then they wanted family advice. (Sometimes my answers ministered to me too, because it was the Spirit who spoke to them, not my "wisdom".) I had very sincere members of our church come to me saying that it was sinful for me to work there. I told them why I was not tempted & I believed that I had a mission. I'm not beyond temptation, but not regarding gambling or drinking. 😉

So appreciate your insight and emphasis on “Abiding”, Zach Dasher! Seems like the modern day Christians and the Church is missing this big time and it’s too precious a thing to ignore. It should be our daily goal above all else as in “Don’t Miss This!” Hope you all make it into a video short here so many more will hear it and be reminded because it needs to be preached more often especially in our day and time where busyness too often takes the place of ABIDING.

Such a good point by Zack about church leaders being put on a pedestal. They’re just as human as the rest of us, and are flawed like all of us. And I also love what he shared about us thinking our holiness is what’s going to bring people into the kingdom. It’s like we’re thinking, “If people can see how holy I am, then they’ll know Jesus is real and will get saved.” But it’s just not true. We put a ton of pressure on ourselves to perform and then wrestle with guilt, shame, and condemnation when we don’t do everything right.

Regarding baptism all I know is that baptism is important to Jesus. John the Baptist himself said to the Lord that he was "unworthy" ... But the Lord said it was "fitting for to fullfil all righteousness". "But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be immersed by You, and You are coming to me?” But Yeshua responded, “Let it happen now, for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” So John yielded to Him." Matthew 3:14-15 TLV

I am curious what it would take for someone like Jase raised in the traditions of doctrines of men in certain church of Christs to understand that baptism is what Jesus does to us, He makes it where we die with Him, He raises us in the operation of faith, He baptizes us with the baptism He was baptized with. Jade do you all understand the use of the word baptism through out all scripture is describing the event of Godswill given to His creation and our faith is required to do His Will. To believe He baptizes is with His death and resurrection, and He buried us in His death by imputing His righteousness which is the washing of regeneration that He does, not water baptism we do in as a witness of what He already did inwardly in us according to the truth of Gods Word because we believed God. All this we die, we quit sinning, or whatever you think we do in order to be saved, is not the truth of our salvation and what baptism means when it comes to our salvation. You baptizing anyone means nothing if God has not already saved them and baptized them Himself. I am really concerned with the emphasis this bunch puts on man water baptizing concerning the merit of salvation and the process of salvation. It has nothing to do with us humans doing anything like this.. it is about Jesus knowing your heart and seeing belief and then baptizing us with the washing of the Word of promise to those that believe in Him. At some point I can’t be a part of this teaching. It is not biblical and you all please need to reconsider your understanding concerning baptism that saves. It is not water baptism I assure you and baptism is what God does to you not what you do towards God.
@Jake-Drake6 ай бұрын

SALVATION By FAITH in 1st Corinthians 15-1 thru4 is the GRACE GOSPEL. Paul our APOSTLE said if you add Anything to, you are Accused.
@trev6486 ай бұрын
You have rebuked so often about adding things like water baptisms. Read ACTS 9:18. Paul was baptized immediately after regaining his sight. Baptisms are not an addition, it’s an outward expression of our in Christ. The eunuch in ACTS 8:37 was baptized by Phillip. Jesus even told the Apostles to baptize people in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Not just for the Jews as you have said many times before. God’s grace is for all that He has called to Himself. And the only way to know the Father is to know the Son. So through our faith in Christ Jesus, by the will and grace of God we are saved and able into God’s Kingdom. Water baptisms are not an addition, it’s part of our obedience to His command.

What is his commandments? Staying in first John.. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. In Hebrews 10 it is talking about a sanctification in the bodily death of Christ Jesus. Which means according to what God set out for our salvation, we are set apart in this truth for our salvation. Once for all and all that are sanctified( set apart inHis bodily death are perfected forever. I am not being sanctified any other way…. We are set apart in the bodily death of Christ and we are perfected forever. We are made holy in His death, we are not being made holy in our works. I have a huge problem with any teaching that claims what we do towards our sanctification. The next argument would be.. so you think you can live however you want and be sanctified? The Lord knows how to make His servant stand. He is a good Father. It is only the death of Jesus that is our justification and sanctification. We are set apart in what God accomplished in Christ crucified and resurrected. Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Who are those that are sanctified? Those that are set apart in the bodily death of Jesus. That’s it.. nothing to add… And guess what.. this will make a man want to be grateful and willingly live their life for Him. If it depends on them conforming to Christ in their own works and strength…. You have fully misunderstood the gospel. You might ask why I am pointing this out. It is not to argue. I believe it is important to understand this. Here is why.. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. God has things set out in such a way that if you trust and believe God… the truth will not only set you free.. but it will change the desires of your heart because of His goodness and faithfulness even when we are not faithful. All glory can only belong to Him and in Him is all justification and sanctification unto God.
