Actually many of the bird and fish antibiotics available are the EXACT same dosages as their human counterparts. Additionally, some of them are the same shape, color and code pill-wise.

I've seen plenty of videos of people doing that. Unfortunately, many of us would spend a lot more just in travel to go that far to get the medications. I just ordered the Jace case the other day from a link someone else posted. But, you are correct, I've heard of a lot of people going across the border. One of the big things is I've known several who have gone across the border to get dental work done for pennies on the dollar of what it costs here

Do you happen to know where this medication is coming from? Since medications don’t come from the US anymore. Also, this is a crazy amount for me to pay. The most I’ve ever paid for a medication is $6, my copay for office visits, which sometimes I don’t have to pay is $20. I’m having a hard time w the cost. Thanks. The bottles have an official "expiration date", as required, but antibiotics are safe to use even years after that date. However, they may not be as effective after several years.

No. It's all technically legal. You can do tele-health or video visits with a doc who can prescribe meds without ever actually seeing you in person. This service takes that a step further but falls under that same sort of umbrella. To answer your other question, Jase offers various meds and plans that they didn't back when I made this video. I believe you can get all types of add-on meds. Practically every common (non-narcotic) prescription.

I guess it wouldn't hurt. Ambient moisture would be kept out (though the containers are already somewhat sealed). But I don't know about extending the potency of the active drug ingredients themselves.

Vacuum sealing can allow antibiotics to at least last 1-2 year past expiration date. Degradation past that point is debatable. Still worth keeping; however, you may need to dose higher. This is not medical advice. ;)

@@GreatLakesPreppingPeople should only take them under the guidance of a physician. The vast majority of people will not be able to differentiate between an impacted ear canal and an ear infection. People will not be able to differentiate between a viral strep throat and a bacterial strep throat without a throat culture sample. People will not be able to know if they have an anthrax infection, or pneumothorax cause by a heart condition. Taking antibiotics by self diagnosing is dangerous for the user and society as a whole. Imagine getting a UTI and not being able to have an effective antibiotic to treat it because of developed resistance caused by antibiotic abuse.

These sorts of emergency antibiotic kits, however, are sold for the purpose of having a contingency supply of meds should something happen that disrupts the ability to run out to the doctor and pharmacy. Whether or not some might find preparing for any type of "SHTF" situation to be silly, many people place importance on it. But in line with what you're saying, it is important that customers of these products understand them to be a "when all else fails" emergency supply, and not a replacement for professional medical treatment.

Antibiotics do not become toxic. Old antibiotics can begin to lose their potency/effectiveness after time passes, but they don't become toxic. There is an "expiration date" printed on each bottle, as any prescription drug container would have. However, there is a lot of data out there about expired drugs, which concludes that antibiotics like these are safe and even effective to take even after years have passed (though they are not 100% as potent as they were when new).
