Love todays episode ! So many things to say about it ! Al I’m trying to build a foundation of faith, I did not have it as a child but trying to build now ! Lots of prayer for the children all grown and lots of songs , talking , of course praying for grandkids ! I cannot financially give them anything but I do things for them to help them. Day care ,Spending time with them, house sitting, pet sitting. Whatever I can do ! I just think I wish I had finances to help them especially since Covid! I'm glad you guys are speaking on the immigration process in this country! I know a young man from Brazil who going through a very similar nightmare right now. He went to college here, then graduate school (at Notre Dame) and still can't get approved for a green card! It's infuriating. He and his wife are so wonderful and are/can be very contributing members to our society. It's so frustrating watching the stress that he and his wife are under because of this.

I don't understand. If they adopted their daughter, why wouldn't the process of citizenship been completed at the same time? It's adoption, for crying out loud, not a guest staying at the house. Even if, the girl has been a legal, law-abiding citizen who has support & sponsorship, so not granting her citizenship make absolutely no sense.

The immigration system is so difficult to get through for those pursuing the legal route. It is also expensive and time consuming. Without support like Missy’s many give up and don’t ever have the opportunity for citizenship. Most Americans haven’t a clue how convoluted the path to citizenship is and how it discourages so many. The mess with our open borders is only making the path to citizenship more unreachable to those who’ve worked to become citizens. Thank you for being there for your special migrant daughter. Don’t give up! Keep greasing the wheel! Praying for her to be recognized and processed! It is such a gift you are giving her through your love and support.

In regards to the situation with Karina , you could look into the possibility of legally adopting her even though she s an adult. If that isn't possible, she may have to consider relocating to a different country that would accept her application. If it means she can avoid having to go back to a country that is unstable and unsafe , going to another country might be the only option.
