I remember having an extended argument with a friend back in the 80s about how good a bass player John Taylor was, he refused to believe it because Duran Duran was a 'pop' group.

Absolutely true. Though there are some rumours around saying John was not the recorded bass player on the first album and on Rio, but a pro bassist stepped in for him fir the recording sessions. I think of Mark Egan could have been the one playing for young John. Just watch those videos of Lee Sklar when he talks of "the section" or "the wrecking crew" who recorded 90% of the music in the 60s and 70s for unexperienced bands / musicians. Don t get me wrong on this, I love John's 80s bass lines and saw him and DD live for half a dozen tines iver the past 38 years......but rumours are around

Thanks Daniel. Yes I did have trouble. I appealed the block on the grounds of fair use under educational purposes. Ie how to play the bassline. Other people have had the same problem with blocking and have successfully appealed. Good luck with the video.
