Love watching these Duran Duran Bass videos, from yourself and others. Just never apprciated how intricate a lot of JT's basslines were, even on earlier songs as the bass was often lost (to a degree) in the early mixes. But now I've heard them more prominent like this, I can really hear them now, when listening to DD. JT is the bass god!

@@JustPlayingBass Well after another viewing of your amazing "visual tutorial" on (in my opinion) BEST bassline JT ever did - I need to thank you. For, perhaps, 'meaningless context'- when I was 13, I reluctantly went on a three-week motorhome tour of Canada, by way of Wisconsin, when my parents declared the long trip. I packed along my best friends borrowed boom-box, plenty of batteries, as that music box was to be my escape on the road trip... I also had Duran Duran's debut album [on cassette / Expanded Dynamic Range DDD]. 'Sound of Thunder' reset my DNA. Up until this moment, I never get tired of listening to it. It is a timeless power-pop icon. To have all of the decades pass me by and to watch and listen to it in perfect recording, is further fruit from the tree. I LOVE watching this! You are a crazy talent. John Taylor is in the pantheon of all modern bassists. I'm in awe of your talent. Please keep it up.
