I was absolutely STRUGGLING between juggling a 3 journals and this video came at a perfect time. I'll take a leaf out of your 5-year journal (ha!) and keep mine simpler. Whenever I go into my 5-year, I end up filling it out with my ✨emotions✨ and not really capture the essence of that day. Your key and bulleted system is so smart! Thanks always Jess for the inspo 💜

I like that you did your own 5 years journal! I wanted to start it this year but I couldn’t find a sturdy one, so I think it’s time to get a nice journal and make it myself💗 Thank you for the inspiration💗💗💗

Most welcome! 😄💜 I’ve had 5 year journals in the past that I’ve had trouble keeping up with because the prompts just didn’t resonate and the quality was ehhhh, so making my own in a notebook I love has really helped 😄💜

Love the way you show how having more journals/notebooks can actually make things simpler (e.g. you don't have your everyday journal cluttered with spreads for the channel). It's got me really thinking about what I need from my system as a whole and how to best meet those needs. I was just reminded of David Allen's advice about how many inboxes you should have - "as many as you need, and as few as you can get away with". Thanks for sharing!

I have three journals in use, two daily and then a travel journal. The two daily ones are my book journal and my general journal. The travel one is for when I go on holiday (vacation).

Love this! I've been thinking of expanding my journal usage (one bujo for everything and then a notebook). These are some very interesting places to start! I really want to start a reading journal and a work journal in addition to the ones I already use.

Bravo 👏🏿 it’s quite colorful, I love that each planner have a purpose and they all work together 🙏🏿. I thought have that many notebook was too much, but then I realized I have way too many notes 📝 paper sticky notes 🗒️ laying around that could fill short books. I’m really hesitant between A5 and B6 because if feel anything bigger might be daunting, plus I’m Just to obsess with the Indians Jones Henry Jones’s Diary 📔 format hahah😂. Have a Lovely day 😁😁😁

I also use several journals but not as many as you do! I use my mainly bullet journal everyday, to keep track of my goals etc. and which I like it to be creative. I use one, very minimalist, exclusively for work, with a different color for each month. This one is not allowed to come home 😉 I have one for selfcare / health / wellness, and a A6 one that's always with me, and that I use as a brain dump for everything, especially being a writer too (I use my computer for writing and my finances).

Never thought about this until you shared it. Been lying low on journalling lately and trying to get back on track. Thank you for sharing this idea and ill build it progressively. Im sure It will help me on my ADHD condition since I always get my things jumbled. Esp on journal where I keep losing track of everything I need just bcs they are everywhere on 1 journal notebook only. There's a saying that, "always have a place for every thing" or something like that. Imma have to apply that. Thanks!❤

This was fascinating. I have always been intimidated by the idea of using multiple planners. But I understand why you would need them. I use one BuJo that is mainly for productivity and memory keeping. Since I use only one notebook per year, it also includes all my collections. I also have a B6 daily journal where I make sure to journal (duh!) every day, at least a couple a paragraphs. And then, I have a notes/brainstorming notebook, where I can take messy notes, make lists, or whatever. I have been fliting with the idea of a reading journal, but for now, I'm good with my very extensive reading collection in my everyday BuJo. Thank you so much for the video!!!

So how much time per day so you dedicate to journaling and outing something in all the other journals - just wondering
@JashiiCorrin Жыл бұрын
On a daily basis, my "everyday" journal and 5 year journal are the ones that get used ~every day~. In terms of the amount I time I spend with them, it's roughly 5 minutes for the 5 year journal (just writing 3 bullet points about the day) and the "everyday" journal, it really depends on the day. Some times it'll be a while longer as I set up specific layouts, but if it's just writing stuff down it's probably anywhere from 10 - 30 minutes throughout the day (I'll check in with it multiple times, rather than an "all at once" type deal)
