Finn was found naked outside, totally frozen, not only 30 feet from the base. we've been cut off since the solar flare. something they brought from the site they excavated a few miles away... i hope someone can read this message. tell my wife i love her.

Not really, I was only there for 3 months and was very pressed for time. Was too busy to be bored but if i didn't have work to do it would get tiresome quickly. The area is very flat without many features, but the base had a lot of games, musical instruments, a gym and movie stores for entertainment. Also there is a real community feel with great support structures if you're feeling down. Thanks for the question!

@rlt94
@rlt94 Жыл бұрын
That's not what they're researching, mostly space observation, particle physics research, global climate observation, and paleo-climate studies with ice cores. There are tundra areas on the continent's coast that are more mild, relatively speaking, and home to some plant life in the form of terrestrial algae, a few dozen moss species, and two small flowering plants (Antarctic Hairgrass and Antarctic Pearlwort), as well as some fungi and bacterial colonies, these are host to a few hardy insects and various birds and seals. In this part of Antarctica the living things are studied too for a variety of reasons.
