Here's the problem with all of this. I hate the writers writing Sam this way. They make it seem that Sam has a bad case of amnesia when it regards Jason. She forgets that Jason has been there for her and her family more times to count. Jason was willing to raise her child that was Sonny as his own. When she got into trouble on numerous occassions Jason was the one that was willing to sacrifice his freedom and life for her well being. That's just who he is as a person, whether its Carly, Spanelli, Michael, and the list goes on. When he cares for them he does what he can to protect them. That's a weight on his shoulder that he willingly takes, but its at a price. She should know that but she continues to throw him to the side. Do we not forget when McBain entered the picture, she was ready to throw it all away for nothing. She treats him so bad. The difference with Carly is that she knows all that Jason does and willingly gives up and that at the end of the day he is a good man through and through. He deserves to be happy. If he does all of this for her and her family. I need to repay that. She treats Jason as an equal if not more because he deserves it. This verison of Sam is becoming more like Alexis.

Ever since one commenter called Sam a “knock off Carly” I can’t unsee it, but today Sam is acting just like Elizabeth when Jake was first born. At least Jason is holding his ground, this time.

Elizabeth was never THIS bad though. She feared Jason's lifestyle sure, but she never tried to keep their child from jason SO hard like Sam is doing. In fact it was the exact opposite, most of the time liz wanted jason to be a father to Jake, and even wanted jason to take charge and make the decision to raise Jake and be a family with her, but jason was also afraid of the danger during that time. Luckily that's all over now and liz is no longer afraid of the danger and actually encourages jason to be in Jake's life.

@@angien306 It was Elizabeth’s idea for Jason not claim Jake, but have Lucky publicly be his father. She did restrict Jason’s access, but you’re right. Sam is much more extreme. At that time, Jason took Elizabeth’s lead on everything. If Liz had been ok withe everything, Jason would have, too. Just like when Michael was a baby, Jason was in the mob and raised Michael. It wasn’t until later that he left, while Carly was in ferncliff for shooting Tony at trial, I believe.

@@redpia215 it was Liz's idea for lucky to publicly be Jake's father, yes, but at least she never completely denied him access to jake in any way. Restricted his access a bit, yes, but not completely. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, she would always ask jason if he wanted to hold/spend time with Jake or always brought jason pictures of jake. She may have wanted lucky to publicly be the father at first, but at least she never fully denied jason the right to see Jake whenever he wanted/could. I wish the writers would've written liz to be ok with everything. Things would've been different and better that way. I hate the way they've written liz's character for so many years. She never used to be so weak and timid. She used to be independent and outspoken when she was with jason.

⁠​⁠@@angien306 Yes, as I said, she restricted his access and Sam is being more extreme. To whatever degree, they are acting the same way. With Carly’s children, Jason could come see them or he could visit at anytime that he wanted. That is the difference between Carly and Liz. I never was and never will be a Liz fan. I remember how good Jason was at raising Michael as a baby and thought that Jason deserved the same chance with Jake. Elizabeth did not. I don’t remember her being outspoken unless it came to particular people. I do remember; however, her coming to town and going after the guy who her sister liked, but that’s neither here nor there. I will say that people mellow as they get older. Maybe that’s what happened to Liz. I think that the difference now is Jason. Jason was better than Carly, with Michael, when Michael was a teenager and up. He also dealt with Kristina as a teenager. I think that he is more confident with that age group. Jason also remembers that staying away from Jake didn’t keep him safe. Jake “died” anyway.

I think she's more afraid that Danny is exactly like her. When she was with Jason he never actually put her in his business she always put herself in the middle and when it all fell apart she placed the blame on Jason's life being too dangerous for her and her kids.

I don’t have a problem with Jason. I’ve always liked Jason, but I’m not putting him on a pedestal above everyone else, and think that he does no wrong.

As a former hardcore JaSam fan, I hope Jason and Sam never get back together. Sam was perfectly willing to get pregnant with Jason knowing the danger. Before Jason disappeared the first time, she and Jason were going to live together as husband and wife knowing the danger existed. Her wanting a child with Jason was a fact of her life from 2005 to 2012, and now she treats him like he's this demon that she looks her nose down on CONSTANTLY. She never gives him the benefit of the doubt when Jason gave her SO much grace when she was a grifter, a scammer and a con artist. Let Jason and Carly finally be together FFS 😒

So is everyone forgetting that time when Jason himself broke things off with Sam because his life was too dangerous, you know after she was shot in the back. I’ll agree that Sam has always wanted to have a kid with Jason but as soon as she got Danny back… Jason was shot and presumed dead. Then Jason/Drew comes back and he’s the Jason she always expected Jason would be putting her and Danny first… but wait not him. The real Jason comes back and doesn’t fight for her and after months of just standing around waiting for Sam to make all the tough decisions they get back together and he starts to put them second. Always choosing the business, Sonny and Carly over her and Danny. He chose to let his kids grieve for him a second time for years because protecting Carly comes first. Now he wants Sam to be all for her kid to invest in a relationship with him that is dangerous on top of it… you Jason fans have me stumped. 🤔

The GH writing for Sam is lazy and ridiculous. First thing the counselor calls a mother to say a child is not at an appointment without checking everything out before hand.Next the writers have Sam running to Jason instead of going to the school and calling Jason.Finally, after the writers have Sam acting wild and crazed they deliver the last bit of lazy writing. The counselor had the wrong time listed,the homeroom teacher was late turning in the role.Like I have said repeatedly the writing for Sam is nonsensical and ridiculous. Everything is over the top and unbelievable.

Really, Sam? For someone who claims Jason's life is so "dangerous," why did she feel the need to go see him? A simple phone call about this would've sufficed. In the same scenario, she gave Jason about Danny she could also apply to herself. Sure, she's an adult & can handle herself, but still. I feel this scene is reminiscent of how she was with Drew. Trying to deny her feelings by keeping a "safe" distance. This episode (IMO) shows she still cares. She's just putting up a front & lying to herself. Just like she did before! Sigh..
