A note about public toilets, the stall were one craps, on the male toilets the seat has a cut-out at the front, is to keep men's (balls) from coming in contact with the seat. This is for sanitary reasons, not to safeguard the men's balls from injury. Sometimes both male and female toilet seats have that cut-out at the front, mostly to save money. So all the toilet seats are uniform.

Coincidentally I just listened to episode 412 ("Where do we go from here?") of the 99% Invisible podcast which is about the "Stalled!" project. Their goal is to redesign public restrooms to be better and safer for everyone. And it definitely includes full-height stall doors.

American stalls really shocked me. In Scandinavia, the airport bathrooms have separate rooms for each toilet with walls from floor to ceiling, no gaps, and often a sink within the bathroom as well. And yes, paper towels. :)

Wow! I really like Andy's podcast better than Conan's. Conan's personally is so big that it overshadows his guests. Andy is the Grand Master of allowing his guest to be the center of attention.

In France they have bathroom doors to the floor but the public bathrooms are a horror show. AND you have to pay a euro to get in!

In some schools, elementary ones and others, the stall doors weren't even provided, because in the olden days, it was believed that it cut down on (homosexual) encounters. I saw the doorless toilet stalls in my elementary, junior high and high schools.
