He very briefly mentioned it here, but Larry actually enjoyed doing comedy himself and was actually pretty damn funny! One of my favorite late night talk shows to watch was the one Craig Ferguson hosted, and he had a robot sidekick that was voiced off-camera by Josh Robert Thompson. Every now and then Josh would be taking time off from doing the show, and Craig got the idea to bring on different celebrities to voice Geoff during these times to have a bit of fun. Well, one time he had Larry King come on the show just to do the voice of the robot, and he absolutely killed it. I had no idea Larry could do comedy, or was even a funny person, until I saw that episode and I still go back to revisit it every once and a while via KZbin.

Me too! I can still find certain lines and such extremely funny for the first time. I like binge through it and have new ideas on what's going on between the characters and their friendship. It kind of annoys me to think that the rest of the actors don't get some residuals from the endless repeat screenings considering they were really the ones who made the show famous. It was fine for Jerry and Larry they made their money but Jason and Julia had to keep on working and got typecast cos of the show so the least they deserved was a decent percentage of the rescreening profit cos Jerry alone would not have made that show the success it was.

I wonder if Jason like the movie Martian which I assume was based on the book ? I have said for some time that no show should run more than five years. Usually by season three the scripts are being recycled with pretty much the names and guest stars being changed . I watch shows from when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's that I liked and they have a handful of scripts that they cycled through. I have even heard actors who were the leads on hit shows say they wanted out by season five because it was the same scripts. They usually stay on because they wouldn't be believable as any other character on another show. They are typecast as the character they played on a hit show and can't transition though a few do. Even Jason said he wore a piece because he figured everyone would be expecting George . He mentioned he was told he couldn't have a part because he looked like George .
