Jason Becker Guitar Techniques and Concepts

I had tons of fun recording this video, it was definitely one of my favorite ones to record. Jason Becker is a legendary guitarist known his incredible speed and most of all his ridiculously clean sweep arpeggios. I have been a huge fan of his music since I was a teenager and it was way fun getting to play some material that emulates his style a bit.
In the video the different topics discussed are scales (major, minor, the modes, symmetrical), sweep picking (different shapes and how to use them) and the use of expressive vibrato and whammy bar.

Great video Juan Antonio the only thing that i guest you miss it is the shape that Jason did those sweeps arppegios you explain perfectly well the concept and the ideas but Jason did not play the arrpeggios as everyone he used to play with barre when he wanted to mix con other things he explain that in his Atlanta clinic back in 1989 sorry for my english, great video!!!

+albert arlesong Hey! Could you describe your question a bit more in detail? I'm sorry but I don't quite get what your misunderstanding is. Although I do have a video on the topic of the major scale on my channel. You can find it by looking up the "Play the modes instantly" section/playlist and checking out the Ionian mode video (it's an older video and not as high quality as my latest ones).
