About a year ago i preformed curtains. I was lieutenant frank cioffi. My buddy was aaron and whenever he sand i miss the music i cried and when i first heard this i was absolutely vrying my eyes out by how powerful it was. And know whenever i hear it i just think about how much i miss preforming curtains

Fun fact: This song was written specifically for Jason Danieley. John Kander told Jason that this song was inspired by his relationship with Marin Mazzie.

I thought this song was from Curtains, a show that opened in 2007. Marin Mazzie passed away in 2018. Even so, I cannot believe that he could get through this song without choking off, I almost burst into tears in the middle of it.

Yes because john and marin worked together of about 40 years i think and then when marin passed away john unconsciously wrote this song not truly realizing it was about marin
