What a wonderful song. So pure, so true, coming in a simple apparel but filled with the Love of God (that always comes with Truth, that would be the "I'm trying" 😊). It reminds me of the discussion between Jesus and Peter after he betrayed him thrice. "Peter, do you love me?", "Yes Lord, I (am trying to) love you". Adaptation mine, but search for the greek version of John 21:15-17 to see the meaning. Thank you soooo much Jason Gray for your music, I discovered it once in winter 2021, at a very hard time of my life. Since then, I always find, healing, wisdom, joy and most of all love in your songs. May God bless you an increase you more, so that himself increase in his Church, in Jesus name Amen!

I heard this song on the radio just today. I’ve been so busy with work that I don’t get to see my family enough, and my 2yo daughter always sings “yes Jesus loves me!” as loud as she can, so hearing your song reminded me of that and made me tear up. Keep the faith!

I love this song. Even though my local station overplays it, I still tear up at the line "It's been that way since the divorce." I would be friends with that obnoxious uncle, I'm the obnoxious aunt, except for the cutting in line for food. Thankfully, my divorces were in my BC days and my husband and I just celebrated our 24th anniversary. Jesus loves each of us so much, He would have died for us had we been the only ones on earth.
