This song truly resonates with me. I lost my wife this past summer after a lengthy illness. @1:00 You'll notice he gives her a single look and a nod... Then he almost never looks at her again. She stares at him the whole time. That's because, If I were him and I suppose in a way I am, he simply can not look at her while he sings this. Just singing this is as vulnerable as he can be, and she stays in contact with him to support him. He knows she's staring, that's enough for him. He gives her a short glance again @1:54 , and as if she knew it was coming she wasn't staring but sent a quick smile in return.
