I am a 66 year old retired teacher, wife, mother of three adult children. I have never left a comment on a video ever before. I think I cried for 58 minutes of your speech. You are so articulate, intelligent, and have such a great sense of humor. Most importantly, you are an example for all young people of how to follow your dreams, even when you are uncertain of the outcome. You are honest about the work, perseverance, and heartbreak that will be a part of your story. This is one of the most important lessons they need to learn for a successful life. You are a NFL star who is not afraid to show all emotions...joy, heartbreak, creativity, but mostly you lead with love. Love for your wife, children, parents, Travis, but also, your love for the Eagles family and the city of Philadelphia are always visible. You are the best ambassador the city could have. You give your all to whatever it is that you set your mind to. Congratulations on a wonderful career. Thank you for all you have given to bring joy to so many. Best of luck to you and your family as you move on to your next adventures. You are golden. Sign that Golden Baby!!! If you ever find yourself in Omaha, I hope I can meet you, share a drink, a story, a meal. If I was still teaching, I would be showing this speech to my class tomorrow and tell them "This is what it means to be a good person, a person who can laugh at himself, a person who is not afraid to cry, a person who is true goodness in this world. We need more Jason Kelces in the world. May your road be blessed in the days ahead.

I concur with you, KarenB634!! Jason epitomizes the character that committed teachers strive for in their classroom with their students daily! I am a basketball junkie who doesn’t understand a whole lot about football, yet I had high school students who had great coaching who grew into young men that have gone on to be great husbands, fathers, and members of their communities! May Jason be greatly blessed as he pursues new pathways in life! Congratulations on a wonderful career!

Dear Karen: I wish you were still teaching. Your students were blessed. It’s clear you didn’t just teach them the curriculum you were assigned to present; you taught them about life. My guess is that many will carry your lessons with them through every chapter of their lives. Thank you for sharing such perfect words about one of the most beautiful speeches I’ve ever had the privilege to hear. P.S. I cried for 58 minutes too. :-)

How many times in modern NFL history has someone retired as reigning 1st Team All-Pro at their position? Can’t be too many of them. He was arguably still the best Center in the league. What a player, what a career.

You don’t need to be an eagles fan to recognize Jason as the greatest center to ever play the game. Wont be the same league without you man, but plz go and enjoy retirement and enjoy every day with your beautiful family. This packers fan loves and holds a lot of respect for you. Not even just a tremendous player but a tremendous genuine human being.
