Roy Keane's aggression and how intimidating he was often makes people overlook what a great player he was.

Not at all , It's just something that puts others off him that are in the game, but no football fans think he wasn't a great leader most supporters would have had him in their teams any day ✌️.

Disagree. His aggression made him the player he was. Never settle for mediocrity, always striving for more. Its not difficult to link the 2 to contribute it towards why he was such a great player

@@rememberthisnameslut No, what I mean is that people just look at his aggression, and do not appreciate how he controlled the game from the midfield. I am a relatively young fan, and that was my mindset before, until I started watching full 90 minute games during quarantine.

@David Michaels funny, I actually remember that. But keane was a great player. He has branded himself as something of a hard man no nonsense player but he was an exceptional footballer. His passing was excellent. Rooney even commented that he was the best passer of the ball he ever played with. Always directly to the feet quickly and almost always forward.

You are not Irish obviously? It was away in Holland. Plus at the time the Dutch were one of the best teams in world football in 2000. Also in the end it actually was a good result because Ireland ended up coming second in the group knocking the Dutch out. Also McAteer scored in the return fixture in Dublin where Ireland beat the Dutch 1-0.

nigefal Yeah your right I'm not Irish but my opinion is based on the facts Ireland had a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes left in the game, And as for being one of the best teams in the world as you said Holland were ? They actually failed to qualify form the group for that 2002 World Cup . And football is all about opinions and I stand by what I said and actually agree as to why Roy was upset at losing a 2 goal advantage with 25 minutes left of the 90 minutes. ✌️

1 of best pundits IVE EVER SEEN . Regardless of anything else he had the discipline to be THE good player HE was but not ALWAYS Acting like a good professional thats what Roy Keane was.Im from NI i usually support ENGLAND IN EVERY THING ALSO I WAS WANTING REP OF IRELAND TO DO WELL ROY THROWS A WOBBLER WORLD CUP 2002 THAT PUT PROFESSIONAL PART WAY DOWN.What i saw about Roy for me alot of times couldnt take it but could dish it out. He didnt want much of Vinnie Jones WHO wasnt thug He had enough skill to be qualified FOR DV1/PREMIER LEAGUE or Duncan Stuart Pearce Julian Dicks Jimmy Case who played in PREMIERSHIP Neil Ruddock Duncan Ferguson ALL THESE COULDVE LOOKED AFTER KEANE I reckon they wouldnt needed to be Pushed .If you watch Haaland Keane at Elland road 1997 Roy got hurt in how he fell but HAALAND WAS A PRIZE ASS BY SHOUTING DOWN TO HIM then The tackle on Haaland in manchester in Newton heath stadium 😂 it was a jailable OFFENCE.

Most kids have tried sports when they were young. Doesn’t mean they could of done it professionally. He didn’t box at any sort of high level. He won a few fights when he was 9! It’s not like he was all ireland champion or anything. I don’t think you understand how hard it is to become a professional and winning a few fights when you’re 9 isn’t enough to think he would be a pro boxer
