Not at all , It's just something that puts others off him that are in the game, but no football fans think he wasn't a great leader most supporters would have had him in their teams any day ✌️.

@David Michaels funny, I actually remember that. But keane was a great player. He has branded himself as something of a hard man no nonsense player but he was an exceptional footballer. His passing was excellent. Rooney even commented that he was the best passer of the ball he ever played with. Always directly to the feet quickly and almost always forward.

You are not Irish obviously? It was away in Holland. Plus at the time the Dutch were one of the best teams in world football in 2000. Also in the end it actually was a good result because Ireland ended up coming second in the group knocking the Dutch out. Also McAteer scored in the return fixture in Dublin where Ireland beat the Dutch 1-0.

nigefal Yeah your right I'm not Irish but my opinion is based on the facts Ireland had a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes left in the game, And as for being one of the best teams in the world as you said Holland were ? They actually failed to qualify form the group for that 2002 World Cup . And football is all about opinions and I stand by what I said and actually agree as to why Roy was upset at losing a 2 goal advantage with 25 minutes left of the 90 minutes. ✌️

He would have been in his element even more so. Keane was a top player as well, nothing fancy but he had good technique, was composed on the ball with players surrounding him and could pick a pass between the lines. The game is missing these characters badly.

Most kids have tried sports when they were young. Doesn’t mean they could of done it professionally. He didn’t box at any sort of high level. He won a few fights when he was 9! It’s not like he was all ireland champion or anything. I don’t think you understand how hard it is to become a professional and winning a few fights when you’re 9 isn’t enough to think he would be a pro boxer
