Oh man if only every school had such a positive support system. This is precious.

The D was not backing off. Putting a hand in his face, and staying close. You don't make 6 3's by accident.

How the hell did the coach not recognize this kid's talent. I would have had him as my starting shooting guard every god damn game.
@rawdog425 жыл бұрын
Exactly. 6 three pointers. Leading scorer in the game. That's not a fluke. Should have been a starter all season.

rawdog42 😂😂😂😂😂 you’re being ridiculous. It’s a 2 minute clip against a team barely playing defense.

@@Tee-OhBee dude didn't play all season. Comes off the bench and hits 6 3's.. he can hoop

I don't know about a starter, the kid is small, we don't know how he plays defense, he definitely should of seen action as a reserve for scoring boost maybe an 8th or 9th man.

I am a basketball coach for the YBA in my small town here in Idaho.... I want to say this video reminds me why I coach. I watch the video any time I need a positive uplift. I once had a highly functioning autistic boy on my team, he came up to me at our last game and said he had not made a basket all season, I turned to him and said well this is your game. He ended up swooshing one in it was perfect...... I will never forget the light in his eyes and how proud he was. I love this! Thank you for inspiring me!

Thank you for not being one of the a-hole coaches who ruin it for many kids. Not too many who actually care

it's his peers enthusiasm from just entering the game that gets me. They could've just treated him nice, but they make him feel special. Not every high school does that. That's a good senior class.

In every society where parents fear for their children being bullied, this story is so refreshing. Everybody including the teachers and students at the school should be congratulated for giving this student every opportunity to express himself as they would any other student. This is an example to the world.
@heartsdesire45614 жыл бұрын
i remember seeing this on TV. It makes me happy to see that there are decent children left in the world. At my highschool everybody tormented the boy with autism and i couldn't stand to see it. It made me sick to be associated with those people. Seeing a whole group of young people being decent human beings gives me some comfort in the future of humanity.

I love basketball and this little story just puts an exclamation mark on how I feel. I'm trying to stop crying in Starbucks, but can't. Awesome! Absolutely awesome! Jason was a hero for a day, on fire and doing exactly what he loves.

To those that disliked....I didn't see a story about a kid that had a disability or someone I should feel sorry for. I saw a high school kid that was given a chance to prove himself and make a memory he can be proud of. Don't try so hard to make a negative out of such a great story!

This is a amazing story, it is known that people with autistic have a big talent, they are not weird or something else. It really looks like a movie, the begining of his game was not the best and a minute later he was a hero, hope he will never forget this moment.

This made me tear up with joy. My son has high-functioning autism. He is only six, but he is brilliant. I know it may not seem like this boy has a disability, but for those that dispute it, they most know nothing about it. I have such high hopes and aspirations for my son. I know that he can make all of his dreams come true, just like Jason McElwain is doing. Please do not put down a person that has a disability. You know nothing about what it is like for them or what they are going thru

I am the mother to two autistic sons. I am glad that the world is able to see the joy,,,the life,,,the purity in a child with autism. Give them tools to show you who they are and what they can do. Let them guide you,,,and they will repay you,,,with joy. Autism does not define my boy's, rather they teach me every day,,,,,,what autism is not. It is not a life sentence,,,when the world accepts them,,they will grow to love them.

Been trying to google any professional athletes that did what Jason has done in a game. Nothing related came up except Jason's story. This is more amazing than that I could have ever imagined! The story is awesome enough, having no results with as far as professional b ballers to what Jason has done in that 4 minutes is more impressive. WOW!
