I will forever be grateful for this song. The first time I heard it was the day I stopped being trapped in this sad cloud I'd been trapped in since my mom lost her battle to cancer in January. I actually caught myself dancing and singing in the shower again and was willing to acknowledge the sunshine again after isolating for 2 months. Its also my chosen song for my partner because of the warmth and positive vibes he radiated through that time. I renamed it the swish swish boogie just for my partner.❤

I’ll never forget the first time I saw him. It was 2002 on a weekend network morning news program. They had a weekly segment called The Second Cup Cafe : Straight No Chaser and it featured new and upcoming artists. He sang The Remedy, Waiting For My Rocket, one other song & then this black girl was hooked!!!! I went straight to The Warehouse (we had actual stores completely dedicated to music back then!) and bought his CD. Still have it 21 years later and all the ones in between. I’ve lived in San Diego since the 80’s and had never heard about Jewel or Jason Mraz being popular around here until after they were famous-famous. His song The Remedy specifically refers to a radio show that everyone listened to called, Jeff and Jer in the Morning, ‘fireworks from the freeway’ refer to the Del Mar Fair and Seaworld, and at the end of the song there’s a recording machine voice message from TriCity Medical Center’s billing department in Oceanside. It was cool knowing that the song was about things that were truly a big part of living in San Diego back then (except TriCity. It sucked back then and still sucks to this day. I’m a RN and worked there, so I know!). Love Ya Jason and so glad that you chose North San Diego County to live and run your organic coffee and avocado farm….

Caramba eu adorava o Jason mas essas últimas músicas tão ficando chatas demais. Não consigo gostar, para mim o Jason piorou muito do album Know em diante. Só gostei da música pancakes and butter, e mesmo assim achei que tem algo de ridículo nela e faltou capricho por mais que a ideia seja ótima. Mas espero que faça tanto sucesso quanto as antigas e as pessoas amem, mas eu não gostei e acho que esse album não vai fazer sucesso, assim como o albúm do Reggae que ficou brega pra caramba na minha opinião, não é o mesmo Jason de antes.
