I'm in love with my best friend, and have felt this way for years. I've watched her go through many boyfriends that don't appreciate her and break her heart in the end. Came back to this and listening in 2024. I gave up on a serious relationship as I chose to fully focus on my medical degree during university 4 years ago. There was a lot going on for me academically... and the fact that I came from a not so wealthy family, my degree and career meant everything to me. I did not allow myself to have the luxury of listening to my feelings for a girl. Then 3 years later, when my dad got drunk and called me an idiot for not respecting my feelings for the girl. I realised I was really a idiot. But now I still regret nothing cuz my choice paid off and introduced me to a whole new fancy world. Just hope everyone is well and thriving, don't give up ever on the dreams.
