I had no idea his accident was that severe. Very scary!!!! "It was always raining in Lynn Valley, and I just wanted to be dry". So cute!!!

He has multiple TBIs (brain injuries). I've had numerous TBIs too so I recognize the symptoms. You never completely heal from TBIs. You lose some cognitive abilities each time. It adds up. In other interviews he stutters, looks down, seems tangential, and other behaviors. All things I suffer from too. We can hide it for a while but under certain circumstances symptoms come out more.

In many of his photographs Priestley's looks are echoes of Craig Hill. Both have similar facial structure.
