@@eabea Yeah I agree, that seems likely. I remember that there was this rumour that after like season 4 or 5 Segel wanted to leave the show because he felt that his character had nothing left to do, which is pretty true btw. So I don't think he's really that proud of that show and I would agree, watching that show nowadays, you become aware how creepy like pretty much all of the guys are...
@eabea4 жыл бұрын
@@krystofdayne I'm not sure it's as sad as that, I just think he doesn't want to be linked to himym for the rest of his career, and he's always been the most proud of what he's written himself. Also yeah, he might have felt a bit trapped in the show, but that happens to everyone who's leading a long-running TV show, I think.

This is the San Francisco I grew up in! Im used to seeing random things, like toilets, hearts, sculptures, popping up on street blocks during my commute to school. Im used to walking around with my friends along Haight and meeting friendly straight-edge people. Im used to dressing in costumes on days other than Halloween, on trips to the grocery store just because, and seeing others that felt the same and us kindly nodding to each other or saying, “Hello!,” and wishing others the same, whether they enjoyed the silly randomness or not. Im used to playing capture the flag with nerf guns in fisherman’s wharf, sutro heights park, and all around powell. Growing up in San Francisco in the late 90s and early 00s is nothing like the San Francisco today, and now that I live in New York as an adult, I havent seen anything as carefree and kind as this.

His story reminds me of my friend's son who was playing with his friends & they hit a fallen log that exposed a nest of stinging insects. My friend calls me at work, because I was closest & I could make my own hours & says my son is apparently badly stung, go help him. I get there & the boy is literally stung from head to ankle, & both arms to the fingers. I asked what happened, he says they exposed the nest & the other kids ran. I asked why he didn't run, he apparently put his arms out like a scarecrow & just got stung until he collapsed & the other kids got an adult. He said he stood there because his father & I had told him before that if you don't harass bees, they won't bother you.
