But Yup! AB on E9 steel.... I think this cemented that my next video is going to be to play these phrases/licks on the guitar and then play then on the steel to show how the guitar phrases (usually) came from the steel and i'm sure vice-versa... you have finally motivate me to do that one!

You might say this and probably do... :-) "Super imposing the sub-dominant" or "Suspending the chord" 6... half dozen... depending on your point of view. 🙂

Great licks. Great breakdown. Thanks to you, I think ive finally begun to "get" the musicality as opposed to just getting the mechanics.

100% disagree. Jason is trying to teach us to view each starting position as one of the triad's inversions. From there, identify the 1,3,&5 in that inversion. From there, identify where the coloring tones are - the 2nd, 6th, and flatted 7th. Eventually the minor 3rd and flatted 5th become easy to see. You learn to HEAR what each tone adds to the lick. He's teaching us WHY we put our fingers in each position, not just where to put them. Much easier to learn (& remember!) the licks when you understand HOW they are constructed. You are a much better guitarist with that skill.
