John5 really got me down the rabbit hole of country guitar. Guthrie Trapp has been my favorite so far. I would like a Playlist of essential flatpicking Since this is all new to me. LOVE the double stop Lessons

GREAT LESSON. This was a MUSIC lesson, not just a flat-picking lesson. Top-notch, conservatory level content.

I just now realized in keeping with the caged way of thinking…and i know this’ll have lil to do with licks if at all …..but if i choose a position and start with a caged shape and use that shapes 1,4,5 it will always work….mightve been obvious to most and i may have heard this in the past and it didnt stick…but since this video for whatever reason made me realize it , i figured its only right to mention (comment ) here …and im only 3:25 i to the video 😬wonder what else itll open for me

This is a really good lesson. The idea of breaking the lick into parts really caught my attention! It has opened a whole string of idea that I never knew I could use! I was always trying to shoehorn licks into patterns that they didn't fit. This simple idea is really a breakthrough thought for me!

Love the new class! It's really well laid out in small, digestible parts that make the learning fun without feeling stressful. This stuff is super challenging but you made it accessible. Thank you!

Thanks Jason. Crystal clear. So helpful as I struggle to learn lead composition while at the same time I work toward breaking 50 years of bad habits. I greatly appreciate you!

Those who like this will really get a lot out of Jason's Truefire courses...at least, I've learned a lot from them. Some favorite flatpickers are Guthrie Trapp, Albert Lee, and Duke Levine.
