I’m 4 weeks post op I went from a 40DDD to around 34-38C and I am more confident then I was before lol I feel like my 20 year old me again. Best decision I ever made in my life. I feel so free and not worrying about my breast. Thanks for this video, very informative !

Was it painful and how long were you resting for? I mean number of days.
@jenniferbrook17203 ай бұрын
@@arymhansie the first 2 weeks was very uncomfortable especially with the drains while sleeping (since I’m a side sleeper). As long as I stayed on top of my meds I felt little to no pain (3/10 pain level), it was more annoying tightness & occasional nipple zaps ⚡️ but it was manageable. For me personally the first 2-3 weeks resting (barely leaving the house, no lifting, no walking no more than to my mailbox and back) after 4 weeks I was able to go back to work and return to normal activities including weightlifting in the gym. Hope this helps.

so happy to find this info. I am in Canada so can qualify for a medically covered breast reduction based on most of the criteria private insurance uses. At 53, I am hoping to reduce these DD's down as small as I can. The back pain after hauling them around for 30 years needs to GO! Thank you for the thorough coverage of the process.

How do you know what size post opt bra to purchase?
@JasonMartinMD10 күн бұрын
Great question! That will really depend on your current size and planned implants. Your surgeon should be able to offer guidance on sizing. The bras we recommend are very stretchy but in most cases I still recommend ordering two sizes to ensure the most comfortable fit throughout your recovery.

I am a DD and would like to know realistically, Can I be a B size cup or is that to much breast tissue to remove. .
@JasonMartinMD4 ай бұрын
Hi Nancy, thanks for watching! It really depends on your breast shape and overall body size. It's usually possible to reduce by at least 2 cup sizes. We'll be discussing your question on our next Q&A episode. Thank you!

Hi, you talk about not smoking tobacco or marijuana before surgery; are marijuana edibles okay or does THC also affect the micro blood flow/supply? TIA
@JasonMartinMD7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! For surgeries that require sleep anesthesia, we have patients stop all THC containing products one week preop. We allow edibles and topicals postop. It is the act of smoking that can impact blood flow and healing. Your anesthesiologist may be okay with edibles right up to the day of surgery.

If someone is a 32FF can it be reduced to a 32 B?
@JasonMartinMD3 ай бұрын
possibly, but that is quite a significant reduction. The amount of reduction will depend on your breast shape and desired aesthetic outcome. Your surgeon will be able to guide you on the amount of reduction possible and the likely outcome based on the tissue removed.
