Great video heading out again in July can't wait !!! The spot where you were at looks like a good place to hide from the wind also!!!

I need to ask this question - He referenced a few times about the lake water levels continuously raising for the better part of 20 years. Was this just a river before?? Small lake? Man made?? Drought?? Just curious, because it appears to be eating up what would have once been farm land, and old roads have been completely taken over by the body of water.

+Bull Falls Devils Lake is a natural lake but because of a long high water cycle, the lake tripled in size and is over twenty feet higher than it was in the early 90's. There is a lot of land, homes and property that was taken by the growing lake. The lake was low because of drought in the 80's and was almost completely dry in the 30's. Devils Lake is a closed basin lake so it doesn't run or flow anywhere and that is why the water levels can fluctuate dramatically.

Basically from what I heard from a local, the Devils Lake area is basically a basin so that might be a factor of rising water.

Сome to us, in Siberia, on the river Tobol or Tura. We have excellent fishing spots. You get a lot of new impressions! Thanks for the channel!

Just got back from a trip to Devils lake and I learned that the walleye in there like shallower and warmer water than walleye in other lakes because the stock them into Devils lake from a river that is near by. Know anything about that? Is it true?
@JasonMitchellOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Don't know about a river but the natural dish bowl lakes in the Dakotas like Devils Lake usually have a lot of shallow fish because of the vegetation and flooded timber.

Hi Jason why do you prefer a tiller boat?
@JasonMitchellOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Like the boat control and room.

I'm a newbie to bottom bouncing. I bought some rigs that are single hook and I want to add a second hook. Should I just tie the second hook on the bend of the first one?
@JasonMitchellOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Single hook harnesses work great as well, just use a half crawler. Two tie a two hook harness, just either leave a tag end to tie a second hook or tie the second hook above the first hook on the snell.

what bait caster do you use I'm looking for one that i can use for walleye?
@JasonMitchellOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Been using the Quantum Accurists this season with the flipping switches for running bottom bouncers and love them.

and the rod together is it expensive?
@JasonMitchellOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
You can get a great bottom bouncer setup/ bait casting rod and bait casting rod with a flipping switch for around $200 but you can obviously spend a lot less if you use a cheaper rod. The faster you pull, the less important having a sensitive rod is because the fish are really going to smack it.

Why do u use a casting rod and real instead of a spinning
@JasonMitchellOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
I like the flipping switch so I can run it with one hand and also reel up line with one hand if need be and like the faster gear ratio but a spinning reel will work as well. There are times where I fish off the front of the boat and fish more below the boat with bottom bouncers and spinners so when I am holding two rods, I like to use bait casters. Thanks for watching.
