You make even more if you set up auto farms on activated Indium. I have three auto farms set up and i can collect every 2-3 hours and that nets me around 50m. Plus i always buy oxy anytime im in a space station for the chlorine trick as well. but the activated indium is like 900+ per so you make tons from it.

Oh wow it works ! So. First I didn't reload game on iced planet and accidentally have manually saved game on red planet ( so I don't have save of " before portal") And ones I find -1,55 -128.00 coordinate weapon inside been B class SO, JUST GO TO STATION-> TELEPORT YOURSELF TO ANY PREVIOUS SYSTEM-> FIND PORTAL-> PLACE GLIPH COORDINATES-> JUMP THROUGH PORTAL ->MAKE FAST SAVE INTO YOUR SPACE SHIP -> restore/reload last autosave . Follow same procedure as in video Alian weapon will be there

I followed this step by step and the base has changed a bit and the requirements for some upgrades have changed but the weapon is as described and there is also an A class alien pistol at the Space station which replaced my b class. Got mine up to 10300 and was happy with that....add a pulse cannon and I am set!! So it all still works fine...on PC you will find an actual save point over the settlement is called "Alien Weapon here" Thanks for the great info you made this old gal very happy

The reload after you teleport its actually very important Just FYI i got an A Class after doing that because i dont care for nanites but i do recomend being patiemt and trying over and over ultil you get it Btw i travel back to the portal from the planet and quick saved THEN reloaded the save and THEN travel back to were the multitool is supposed to be and there it was an alien A class (would have gotten a S class but i impatient :P

Can confirm, just got this today on PS4. Had a really hard time at first as I wasn't following the instructions perfectly. You must turn off network and reload autosave at portal. There is also another identical outpost right next the correct one, so make sure you are at the correct one. I went to the wrong one at first.

Great video as always! For my friends on Xbox, make sure to do the auto save and auto reload as soon as you exit the portal. There will be lots of bases when you arrive the planet. Make sure to check the coordinates -1.54, -127.99 before exiting your star ship. Then and only then exit your star ship and enjoy your new alien multi tool. 1/30/22

Thank you for the tip on arranging things around your primary. After a bit of playing around, my strongest weapon (currently pulse splitter) brought me up to 10022.6 from mid 7k and with 3 of my scanners on supercharge slots, I am still getting 1.8k scanning range and HUGE rewards for the exploring I enjoy anyway. I knew about the adjacent slots, but did not realize you got additional bonus for having more of the upgrades touching the primary. Unfortunately it gets around 800 points from my ricochet module, and I am not so fond of that upgrade. now if only I could find some better upgrades for my scatter blaster as I prefer it to my other weapons when salvaging derelicts. Interestingly using a supercharge slot did not help my DP score, and each of the arrangements I tried did nothing for my total score vs all in a straight line for my scatter blaster even though the same changes worked wonders on my pulse splitter.

Right so, a lot of people are having the same issue i did at first. getting there and the wrong multitool being there. When you go through the portal and make the autosave, RELOAD the autosave first before flying out there. I don't know why this is necessary but it is.

Not sure if they changed it or something, but I didn't get that specific alien weapon there. I followed everything but it had an S-class rifle that started at around 3400 damage instead. It's still very good. Way better the two multitools I already had. I got it upto 9300 damage with upgrades. I think I can get it to 10000 with better upgrades. The hardest part was finding the Outpost. There's SOOO many players bases built in the area around the coordinates and the Trolliest player built a base right over top of the outpost making it almost impossible to find... but I found it!!! and it was worth it!!! I decided to mess with some sentinels to test it out and ended up taking down 6 walkers in a row like their armor was made of butter. Amazing weapon! All my ships have conflict scanners now. Probably give the extra one away on the anomaly. Thanks for the how to! Great Stuff!

You have to go with the multiplayer disable, and after you arrive after taking the teleport quick save from getting on and off your ship, and reload that save . If you do that the multi tool should appear. I got it today (12/07/21). But some dude built a whole plant farm around it with some landing pads. But it still there because I got it.

Would you be able to do an updated video on the best layout for technology slots in the Exosuit? I keep seeing different youtubers with different layouts and when I check their channels for videos about it they either don't have any or all their videos about it are outdated by about a year or more, yours included, so I'm not too sure what to do with mine, and you're the only youtuber I see who uses all different elemental resistance and shield upgrades, and who's Exosuit general tab has more than 3 rows taken up by upgrades. I do have what I'd consider a fairly decent layout for mine, although I don't have all elemental resistance upgrades and shields yet, but I'd love an updated video about it so I have a better understanding of what to do with it. I know about having all upgrades for a specific thing, like jetpack upgrades being next to each other, I just don't know what the most optimal setup for the Exosuit is.

READ THIS!!!! OK so you're disappointed that you found some other S class mt? Reload your manual save (even if you lose lots of progress!) and when you're doing this all over again DON'T FORGET TO RELOAD AUTOSAVE (<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="197">3:17</a>). I did this without reloading the autosave, got bummed out that it didn't work. and then I rewatched the video and saw that I missed this step and when I did it all over again, not forgetting reloading the autosave, it worked!! Alien MT!

javlanoub update I did some research and you don’t have to reload your manual save should you mess this up. Simply go back through the portal to you home world and come back. Then follow the steps at (3:17) for the same results.

Some more info for y'all: The scatter blaster weapon is more responsible for these numbers than the alien multi-tool is it seems. On my *experimental* multi tool a maxed out *pulse spitter* does *3460 damage.* (roughly) A max *boltcaster* does *4477 damage.* If I add a scatter blaster and put in three *(3x) +2% dmg and +11% fire rate chips* my damage goes up to *8861* That's with an *experimental class* multi tool. By using 3% dmg chips with 11% fire rate I could easily reach or exceed 10k dmg I think. Also, it seems fire rate has the biggest effect on your bottom line here too so prioritize that. So, if you want 10k damage you don't necessarily need the multi tool featured here. You need to use a scatter gun and put the chips on like Jason shows here. Also, once I added the scatter gun to my multi tool and got 8800 dmg I removed the other weapon (pulse spitter) and all it's mods. My damage rating stayed exactly the same. So, the game is only calculating the damage rating for the most powerful weapon...not all weapons combined. Last thing, about the vendor: So the vendor will keep selling you the same mod/chip with the same bonuses regardless of how much you reload. To get that vendor to offer a new mod/chip you have to install it in your weapon and either destroy it and then save or keep it and save. Only then will a reload offer a different mod (this is on PS4). The alternative method is to just bounce between multiple stations that you know offer the mod you want (ie. scatter gun). Then you can reload if you buy a bad mod and just go to the next shop instead.

@@JackalBlack hey sorry if this is a dump question but I literally just got the gun (after 4 days 137 redos) and I see that Jason only puts in the scatter blast Mods and I was wondering what else should I put into it? I want this gun for dmg only and another tool for mining etc is that good or should I add the mining Mods into this gun? If so what Mods what order and what stats should I be aiming for

@@xVoidXAnge1x Depends on what you like Louis. Some guys want 3-4 guns on their tool plus a mining beam and anything else they can slap in there. I don't like cycling through weapons however and I like all my tools to have a terrain manipulator and a mining beam. So I start with those two, max the mining beam, and then add a gun. The tool I mention here has the scatter gun for highest max damage but using an alien multi tool will give you higher damage values still. To be honest though, I mostly use the plasma cannon and I add that to every multi tool I have. It doesn't increase damage rating but it pretty much one shots everything but Walkers. It will blow all the leg armor off a Walker in one shot if you hit just the right spot otherwise it's one shot on each leg and then 3-4 shots to it's head while it hobbles. For mods, the most you can have for anything is (3) S class mods plus whatever B or C blueprint for that weapon you might have. My tools have the following: -(3) S class mining beam mods (any bonuses okay) -(3) S class scatter gun mods that MUST HAVE the highest rate of fire bonus possible (10-12%) AND max damage bonus of 2-3% on each. The other two bonuses are not as important here. -(3) S class scanner mods -(3) S class plasma cannon mods with +35% damage and (preferably) "projectile velocity" over "bounce potential." (All my tools have 24 slots right now) Side note: In the new derelict freighters the plasma cannon can easily be suicidal as it bounces and explodes in an area. I find the scatter gun really good in here coupled with a personal forcefield on your tool. As far as grouping: Always try and group your S mods together and closest to the weapon you are boosting. There should be KZbin videos on this as well. One trick is just to put the gun in you want and add the mods for it and then just rearrange them over and over until you find the highest damage configuration. Hopefully that will help you a bit. There's lots I'm still learning so if anyone knows better/different please advise. Also, don't forget to check out Jason's tutorials and tricks. He is the Master! Good luck Louis!

I've found that a lot of the multi tool stats have been nerfed since this video was made. My Alien tools have a maximum damage of less that 5k now. It's a shame as there only seems to be getting the Sentinel Weapon upgrades PLUS the S Class Boltcaster modules to really make a difference but the ceiling is low.

I have seen some people say that they couldn’t get it to spawn and I had that same problem but I found out why it didn’t work for me which is that I didn’t realize that you actually have to do the reload save part immediately after leaving the portal and no where else otherwise it will spawn normal s class weapons

What seems to be there for me is one of 2 models on first look (a pistol with a horn or a rifle) with 3541.4 DMG and 236.9 scan. Reloading the save will change the model to the Dream Beam Mark lV (rifle) same stats. To get it to spawn a fresh model I hyper'd to the stn, made a restore point and reloaded then went back to see what was there now. Got the Theoretical Aloyanyi Analyser.

You have to go with the multiplayer disable, and after you arrive after taking the teleport quick save from getting on and off your ship, and reload that save . If you do that the multi tool should appear. I got it today (12/07/21). But some dude built a whole plant farm around it with some landing pads. But it still there because I got it.

@@EasySqueezy1 try the space station! Sometimes a different pistol spawns in, and you have to reload an autosave. It is kind of funky.

@@OhItsDirty Yeah the game gets weird sometimes. I had issues with it initially. Be sure to be in the RIGHT galaxy from the get go, because if you are in Eisenteem for example, and punch in those glyphs at a portal (even though is for Euclid) it wont take you to right place When you get there, go in ship, walk out, itll create autosave. Then reload autosave and either find that building he went to in video or space station. Good luck. Hope it works.

When you go through the portal, enter your ship, exit your ship to create an autosave, reload the autosave, then fly to the Multi-Tool base location and buy the MT. Don't reload your save after getting to the MT base. This worked for me on PC. I made it to The Razors Edge. (I had to go back through the portal to my previous system, then back to the MT system to reset after making the mistake of reloading after getting to the base. First time gave me the regular s-class MT, not the Alien.)

Make an autosave on the landing pad, then reload it. That will change the multi tool.

Still totally works as of 08/31/2020. Once you use the teleport and get to the snow planet. Hop in your ship and exit to create auto save. Once that's done reload the auto save THEN go to the planet. Otherwise you'll get a 24 slot S class non alien MT.

A suggestion on your videos where you use coordinates, it would be helpful to post the coordinates in the screen for example in the upper righthand side (for example). I've seen this in other youtubers videos. It's more visible as when following your video and you're in first person view it can be a challenge to see the coordinates as the font is so small, whereas if you post the coordinates on the screen you could post in a large font size. Just a suggestion, you provide a great resource to the No Man's Sky community.

Okay, since you clearly didn't mention this, here's some extra information: Pistols are better at scanning. Rifles are better at Damage. Experimentals enhance scanning potential. Aliens enhance damage potential. So, ideally you'd want an experimental pistol. And ideally, you'd want an Alien rifle. Alien pistols are just bad at everything, due to how pistols currently work, they can't have maxed inventory, for some reason, so there's only room for either two weapon modes, or scanning+mining techs... Both options of which are sub-par compared to the other three variants. But Experimental Rifles, have balanced stats, basically... Rifles for damage, experimental for scanning.,, That's why most of the experimental Rifles you find will have 400 base damage and 400 base scanning, if i remember correectly.

For me, it spawned as an experimental and then I reloaded and it spawned as a normal multitool. Edit: I reloaded again and it spawned as a normal multitool with only 1000 damage.

So interesting thing happened to me with this alien multitool. I followed your video got the S class one but the damage was just 1800 something with 24 slots. After purchase I flew to the space station to look for ships, and then went to the Technology merchant and in the case was an A class of that same multitool but with 3143 damage as it had the pulse splitter and 2 upgrades installed with 23 slots vs just the bolt caster and no upgrades on the 1st one. By the way in the video you say you can't remove the bolt caster. Either that changed or you can remove all now except the mining laser, the 2nd MT didn't even have boltcaster on it. Made it to the razors edge! Following this video step by step exactly worked for me on PS4 to get the S class Chrono Engine Mark XII. There are no comms stations here as there are 3 base computers here & a yellow save beacon (no build permission here now). UPDATE: My PS4 crashed the auto update was when I got in and out of my ship at the outpost where I bought thr MT...but it showed me not have bought the S class Alien MT. So went inside outpost but it now was a short experimental S class with 14 slots open. Reloaded auto save a few time no change. Loaded my Manual save before I traveled thru the Portal and re-did all the steps in the video again but now it shows a B class experimental 19 slot. Reloaded new auto-save (made as per video after traveling thru Portal) a few times no joj just various B class experimental s...moving on to newer Alien Weapon posts

Go back to your home Universe and turn multiplayer off then save and reload. After that you have to go to portal. As soon as you go though portal jump in and out of your spaceship to save then reload. If that doesn’t work, keep trying the reload after you get out of your spaceship it took me 2 times and a Hard reset of my console. If it doesn’t work you can always get the flamethrower one or the many other ones Jason reviews. You can also check around for other locations. Best of luck!
