This boy isn't out there working for himself. He is working for his family. You can tell that because he has an overall clean/tidy demeanor. Someone cooks good food for him and loves him. When he stood up, he made sure to check his own clothes to get out the wrinkles and any loose lint etc was wiped off him. During his routine, he had upgrades to offer, but he didn't stray from his steps of the job! This boy was trained and trained well. At home, I'm sure he understands his worth in the family. Sus padres le cuidan bien, y el les cuida en revez. Esto es hermoso! Que El Senor Os Bendiga mucho!

I think the language barrier can cause some misunderstanding (although you seem to do well with Spanish). A tourist might think that the boy was hustling you with his price increases, but his original quote seems to be a per-shoe price. 5 pesos each shoe was added for the dye job. So, I looked up what 50 pesos converts to in American dollars, and it was a total of $2.50 for dying the uppers and sole edges, and cleaning and polishing the shoes. $15.00 for that here in Boston.

It’s videos like this which are so eye opening. Sometimes I think my life is hard, but this shows me just how hard life truly can be. We have to be great full for how much life gives us, and give back to others👍
