Probably one of the most important things with these units is to keep them from getting too dusty. Dust, and any stress to the knobs, can make them jumpy. You can usually stilll use the knobs but it might take a bit to get the value you are looking for if your knobs get messed up. I have an old Zoom 505 that is 25+ years old, still works fine, and has one of the coolest flangers that I have ever heard.

I know what you mean about these units weirdly having some of the coolest sounding effects. I have had my Zoom B1 bass multi since 2008, and it's on my board because the envelope filters in it are unbelievable. Can't replace it, and not through lack of trying. Also a cool flanger on board.

The model function models various different acoustic guitars NOT amps . I can tell you don't look at the manual ......the manual is a must to understanding and accessing some of the not so obvious but extremely inportant settings and functions that are inside this machine . Can't stress it enough folks READ THE MANUAL !

ChrisAndTommy GoodTimeFolkRockShow Funny, as I spent a lot of time in the manual last night, and really was amazed that it has Control and Global settings to allow for an electric guitar with single or hum-bucker to go into an electric amp, yet still model acoustic guitars with that gear. As far as amp types, it only can adjust three varieties from a combo, a larger variety combo, and a stack, changing the modeling to allow the player to customize the output. I do agree that this would be a little better with that level of detail.
