Born here. Left as a child. Mom and Dad and several aunts and uncles buried there. Speaking of cemeteries, one whole section is for deceased Guatemalans who lived and worked here. Very elaborate grave sites. Definitely defined areas of town between different races.

Mr Jerome. I'm a retired deputy sheriff. I just moved my family to Japser. These 2 are disrespectful clowns. Jasper is amazing. We move here from the hustle and bustle of South Florida and we couldn't be happier. Thank goodness these clowns left 😅

I think the both of you are being completely disrespectful to the people that live in that town. Just because there's lack of opportunity, or what you think is lack of opportunity doesn't mean it's a bad town. I notice that in most of your video's you try to show the towns you visit in the worse light, your video's would be better if you remained neutral instead of crapping all over people's towns. Most people in the city aren't happier, actually I find them to be far more stressed with ALL the prosperity available to them. What your Quality of life is may not be the next guys, and putting people down for it is pretty bad.

Jasper ain't a good place. Moved there when I was twelve back in the early 2000s till I was about 19. A lot of hateful and ignorant people there. Though these guys really didn't show jasper, part of this was white springs. I know the hood there, they definitely weren't in it.

@GingerSnaps Back My issue was the biased comments coming from two people that never set foot out of the car.

@@5centloosie nah, I get that. Just some kids roaming around and judging it by the surface. Generally a shitty thing to do, but Jasper is really bad off. Mostly cuz of the bigger white families around there. They run the local politics. Also if you're queer and/or trans that ain't a safe place to be. I was beaten into the ICU for just that, I did make friends, mostly in the hood. None of the white folk were receptive unless you were rednecks like them and even then it was massively misogynistic. A lotta close minded people there. The only therapist I could find around there said that my psychosis was the product of allowing the devil in, no lie. Not sure how it is now. I visited my mom there two years ago but never went into the city limits. She was on the outside, but from what I seen it's a dying town with a crumbling infrastructure and the local politics is basically a soap opera. I got close friends still around there. They had to move further away because it was becoming increasingly dangerous since one of the. Is trans and they're a lesbian couple. Dunno who the two dorks are that made the video, but Jasper is not a good place. No matter what some of the residents may say, they certainly aren't accepting and the "southern hospitality" is only at a surface level.

Jasper holds ton of history dating back to the revolutionary war and civil war the town was named after a sergeant from the revolutionary war William Jasper. The old railroad use to transport troops and supplies in the civil war. The town is 80 percent Indian burial grounds.

Jasper has 1 prison, you do know that every town has a jail right, like you don't get arrested for a DUI or some other crime and they take you straight to prison smh. Your stupidity is showing. The old Hamilton Country jail is one of the oldest jails in the world and is now a museum!! Y'all need to do some research!!!

You should never come to a town you never been to and start thinking you know what your talking about.

Dude knows nothing about what he’s talking about. Jasper has one active jail, the Old Jail is an old unused Museum. Their is little to no work in Jasper. 1 prison 1 jail and a phosphate plant. This video is so misleading.

I've been Debating Moving to Florida for a long-time Now I'm strongly Considering moving to Gulf Shores Alabama, It still has the white sand Beaches on the Gulf It's 25 miles from the Florida boarder, and has Cheaper property tax, cheaper car insurance and Registration and it looks like a really nice Little family oriented Town and its a 75 Mile drive from Destin Florida for weekend getaways!

You run the risk of getting black listed by the locals. NO ONE will go… someone will start a rumor.. than the whole town will avoid you. Than they will start littering near your store.. than you get broken into.. and when the cops come they tell you “well, might be time to pack things up.. your not from around here we cant protect you.. and those boys might be back again.. lets say.. Friday at 8:45”… (cop knows who broke into your store and is giving them the freedom to rob you under their nose)… they gonna run you out.. one way or another.. your leaving.
