It was released by Tusk Music in S.A. in 1993 and Clint sings the whole of cantata 51 and Mozart's Exultate. I doubt if it is still available. I was bequeathed my copy by a friend. it is surely one of the handful of the greatest recordings of a boy soprano.

The early nineties must have been something special with two brilliant recordings of this Bach masterpiece. I can’t make up my mind between this and the Max Cencic recording. I don’t know what timing Bach set in this Cantata but this is almost a full minute faster than the Cencic recording. Brilliant recordings both.

Clint indeed is fabulous here (I understand 15,5 years, so about 1993) , sounds so professional. He is living in Belgium now and I intended to attend a concert In Holland last year, but covid came in between, Hope to be able to hear him in due course. He still sounds great as a countertenor .

Clint was a member of the Drakensberg boys Choir (South Africa), and after that went to England to continue his musical education, finally studying at the Royal Academy of music. At the time of the visit to S.Af, he was a Counter tenor. I believe he now performs in opera's around the world. I met Clint in South Africa when he was visiting with the Kings College Choir, and he received the surprise news about his acceptance into the R.A.M.

@PrimoUomo I prefer it a little slower too but not too slow. I have Cencic singing this as a treble to and its a bit slower than this one. I'll see about putting it up. :)
