In spring boot create CRUD application with proper exception handling use oops concept(Java 8 optional and all) focus on basic. after that focus on multithreading.

If you want to enter into development field then if you dont have prior experience create development project taking help from internet add them in resume so you can even start as fresher instead of experienced professional you can show case your customer support work adding on that you want to enter development field so upskilling yourself along with customer support job side by side to interviewer.
