That one inning didn't make Kaif a batsman to be remembered. Kaif was a good fielder. Now compare Tendulkar with Bradman or a Brain Lara or a Steve Smith, All the three won series on their own. When did Tendulkar did that never. Talking about a opener in odis have u seen Gilchrist winning Australia matches from opening slot, u will remember 2003 world cup final of Gilchrist. Being a star and a good cricketer are two different things. Dravid never was a star but he was always a good cricketer who was good at his job. Sachin has always played for his centuries and he was angry with Dravid when he declared against Pakistan when sachin was on 195 why because a team win was not that important to sachin than his 200. About press conferences he always was a diplomatic in his answers he always poitioned himself in a good way. To understand the difference Virat Kohli is not a diplomatic in his answers he replies with honesty and compliments people when they do something good. I promise you one thing in another 10 years Sachin's name will not be among great batsmen but from India it will be Gavaskar, Kohli etc. Sachin will be remembered for the 100 centuries. I am not a bhakt of anyone I believe in facts. 10 centuries out of 100 doesn't make a batsman great. Steve Smith won a ashes series on his own last summer in England that is called great.

@@muzafarwani9584 that is ignorance as is ur beliefs...keep ur mind open. Learn to live with others and not challenge... coz people like u challenge and once screwed come to ur level, that is extremism. This is a fact in every fb, YT page. I am not saying Tendulkar is the only the one but he is the greatest. And we bhakta, whatever u may call do not clarification from psychopaths like u. Ask Benaud, Bradman himself, Lara, Richards , Warne....I don't think there r better names to name the best. @@bhaskarpuvvala5849 Don't worry about my religion that is not point of discussion here and you using bad language shows your level which u are trying to pretend by using english. Ask any Australian who is the greatest batsman to ever exist they will say Bradman without a thought. I can share vedios of shane warne saying the same. About Lara and others mentioned these questions are usually asked by reporters who are usually from South Asia. Records speak. Go to google and search highest ranking points of batsman and u will see where Tendulkar is really. You are proving ur point u don't have anything to say and the next only step left for you is to use abusive language and attack my religion. That says a lot u being rattled. Srinath still hold the record of bowling the fastest delivery by an Indian pace bowler. 157.3kmph is still unbeaten to this day. Maybe in the days to come Umran Malik, Mayank Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah , Mohd Siraj, Mohd. Shami may break this record, but the consistency to bowl over 140 clicks without losing line and length with intelligence and displaying gentlemanly attitude will never come close as that of Srinath. He was the humble warrior from 1989-2003 who started in 1990 as a first change bowler to Kapil Dev and Manok Prabhakar and went on to spear head the attack for most of the 90s and early 2000s. A rare gem.

Srinath was the fastest Indian bowler since independence but especially back in the 90s , board and team management never cared to manage his workload properly. Such a shame. A very hardworking cricketer who always gave his all while playing for the national team but never got his due especially during Azhar and Sachin 's captaincy. It was Ganguly who brought his most experienced pace weapon back in the team before WC 2003. Srinath, who already retired by that time, was back in action to do national duty on the request of the skipper. And what a wcup he had had! Barring the final he was phenomenal throughout the tournament.

Clocking 140+ at that age and more than 5 overs spells for over 4 World cups plus being over bowled in test matches on dead pitches with no support from the other end for decades till zaheer arrived...that's the struggle Javagal Srinath has gone through. 1st genuine fast bowler from India. True gentleman who got absolutely no credit for his efforts! Great upload!

Back in the days, Indian bowlers were always tagged as medium pace bowler and never ever fast bowler. Even McGrath who bowled at 130s all through his career was tagged as fast bowler. Here was Srinath at the end of his career at World Cup 2003 was regularly clocking 140kmph plus. He was tear away fast in the 90s before a shoulder injury in 1997 but still he was quick enough and mighty effective. He will remain a favorite of mine and a highly underrated bowler in world cricket and served India very well.

THIS form in the finals....and we’d be telling a different story. I remember that the seam bowling in this match was so put together ! Zaheer, Srinath and Nehra were in top form in this particular match. All three were in excellent rhythm AVERAGING 140+ kph (i think Nehra’s fastest was 149 in this game), swinging and seaming the deliveries....England had no chance whatsoever
