8:30 Did you know that the tier 4 armor upgrades are all worthless except for breathing room? The Nova Blast does 8-14 damage on shield break, and the "stun" doesn't actually stun anything, it actually has a chance to apply an electrical debuff that slows movement. Ill pug a link below this comment, but im referencing "BEST ARMOR UPGRADES FOR HAZARD 5" posted by the KZbin content creator "AxisKronos". Typically i dont like to post other people's content into other channels, but its something that people should know.

since the cryo can freeze stupidly fast with cold radiance in a 4m radius, you wanna use the most out of it since it has a freezing power a lot higher than the direct hit, and i mean A LOT the risk of being in melee range is offset by vampire like you said however the build doesnt use cold radiance efficiently "as long as the weapon is firing, heat radiance will be active and will give the same value, no matter your rate of fire" so by improving your rate of fire will only make you consume ammo faster to get the same value from cold radiance 4:59 i suggest using the build 11132 (the mod slots) and an overclock like snowball so that you can increase further your freezing power on tanky targets or freeze instantly macteras and other targets at range (6:00 and no,, tier 5 is not personal preference, cold radiance is stupidly strong offensively and defensively) another misconception about epc, the explosion from the mod T5B thin containment field does not get any value from bigger charge shot radius or damage so in tier 4 you should go for ammo no matter what, and the OC persistent plasm is secretely a clean, since the explosion damage of T5B doesnt change with mods (and tier 3 mod you should go for faster charge time so you can shoot at freezed targets before they unfreeze) build suggested 21222 with magnetic cooling for mining but persistent plasma is very strong for combat the only other build i could suggest for EPC when paired with cryo cannon is 12321 with heavy hitter, this way you can terma shock frozen targets for a free 200 damage and the epc by itself can take out enemies at very long range with normal shots instead of charged shots 8:14 ehm... even the drill build is inefficient, as long as you watch the heat meter, tier 2 A mod can keep the drills active more often, making tier 4 B useless so you should go for more ammo, especially given how much you'll use the drills for combat... just throw an axe or a pickaxe attack while waiting for the drills to cool down in 1 second or less build suggested 1111

Berzerk with vampire is also cool and helps with tanky targets if you ever get trapped (your drills sometimes run out of fuel or overheat and you get trapped sometimes)

Love it! I mostly have this build already, but I don't have any OC's for the cryo yet. Also didn't know how hella insane throwing axes are with this build, guess I'll be getting rid of neurotoxin grenades. Great video, definitely can see you're getting more comfortable doing these compared to your older videos!

You can throw axes faster by pressing Q/ your previous weapon button after you throw you axe. Timing may take a while to learn but it does allow you to nearly insta kill one of the dreadnought twins

7:35 the increased charge shot radius does not effect tcf btw so it doesn't help with mining minerals or the actual blast range of the tcf just to tell you

This was my main when i played drg, but i had wave cooker as a secondary and didnt have a overclock for the cryo yet. I remember useing it on a few solo hazard 4/5s and a few solo deep dives. So i would say you cant use this for higher hazards, per se. But its definitely difficult. Espically at first Hmmm this is makeing me wanna pick up drg again ha

Now after the November update it is better to not take one of the ammo up because it properly rounds up when resupping

thorns can take away from your melee kill health generation by accidentally killing close by enemies that you're trying to drill! i recommend taking something else (i use deep pockets but whatever works for you)

Build seems cool, but there's a couple mod choice problems I see. Never, ever take the faster overheat on the drills unless you really suck at managing the heat and overheat near constantly. It is always more effective to take the faster cooling and stop just before overheating, you don't get any extra hits from that last 1% heat as far as I'm aware, and it's so much faster to just cool down instead of overheating, even with the faster overheat mod. For the armor, that stunfield on shieldbreak barely does anything. It's not a stun but a small slow, which really isn't that helpful when your main loop is to slow and freeze everything around you lol I also think it's a bit weird to take longer range on a melee-focused build, but I guess it can be useful if you wanna hit ceiling bugs.

you say that you're going to be very close to enemies with this build but you take range in tier 2, why

@@TrixterTheFemboy This is what scouts are for, and both driller axes and EPC are pretty bad at killing spitters on a moderately high ceiling. (If you use other driller secondaries it's faster to kill ceiling enemies. But you can't mine with those can you?) Also, the "freeze nearby enemies" mod isn't benefited by the "increase range" mod. You lose freezing power if you're further than 4m from your target. The range mod only affects half your freezing power, and consequently it's less useful than you might think, even for mactera. (Unless maybe if you're solo, or your teammates don't look up / also can't kill ceiling bugs.) In many cases walking forward 5 meters isn't all that hard. Besides, you're supposed to be freezing the enemies that WOULD otherwise get in your way. (Ledges block your angle anyway, that includes cliffs. And if mactera are targeting you, you don't need the range to hit them, iirc.)

You are going to be very close because, you want to take advantage with the vampirism perk using driller power drills and pickaxe after freezing enemies to heal yourself. The tier 2 is there to have an easier time freezing enemies and keeping a distance to increase survivability.
