I managed to beat the Imaginarium Theater at highest difficulty for the first time yesterday using someone's unbuilt Mavuika, my Layla, Itto and Zhongli. I cannot stress enough how much power Layla was bringing into that formation. She allowed for huge melts and shielded when I forgot to restart Zhongli's. I think she deserves to be rebuilt on my account. Love her so much.

I can already tell you that it's surprisingly good considering that she is not intended to be played as main DPS. As someone who really likes Layla and also has the weapons and supports investment required to maximize her damage, that was the first thing I did back when I first got her, and even if it doesn't compete with the top teams is still very fun to play with, especially if she's a character you like, and also has more than enough damage to clear most of the game's content. I play her mainly as a shielder but whenever I feel like it I turn her into my DPS

(I’m by no means a theory crafter but a Cryo main here’s the build) Layla: 4pc blizzard strayer (only need 19% crit rate rest can all go atk and dmg) Kokomi: Thrilling tales w/ 4pc Tenacity Shenhe and Chongyun as you have or could swap Shenhe out with Xilonen for C2 havers.

YES!!! This is perfect! I just started building Layla more for a shielder (Hu Tao & so I can be helpful in co-op) ...and totally not because i got two signed items from Ashley Biski from two different events 🩵 I _did_ like Layla's design as soon as she released but was initially sad she was sword cause I mained so many already (i like variety in teams/play style) But with this event sword, it's so dang pretty and I'm in love 💙🥰💜

I've used Layla in favor of Zhongli on basically every occasion by now, because I still need to be mindful of my dodges with her shield to keep it up and benefit from its delayed attacks. Building her as a main DPS is a bit weird, but your team seems fun enough, all things considered. She's become my go-to supporter for Eula to offset her lack of Cryo application, and currently is my favourite off-fielder on Chasca.

I love playing DPS Layla, I have her c6 and triple crowned, her playstyle is super fun and the moment I saw this weapon I knew I was going to try it on her. I'm currently using Black Sword and switch between freeze and melt teams, but I hope to pull Jade Cutter and maybe Shenhe on chronicled wish for her. I'm aiming for a full blizzard strayer set sometime soon

This works because Shenhe works similar to aggravate/spread reactions: a flat damage buff that scales well with DMG bonus and crit formulas means that low modifiers do not matter, and the only important thing is fast enough hits (with aggravate. with Shenhe, faster hits don't do all that much and just use up quills faster)

Java for rotation it should be chongyun burst skill, xilonen skill (burst optional), shenhe burst skill, then layla burst skill and na ca. You start with chongyun because you need cryo app for cinder city, and dont start with shenhe because her buff has count, and shenhe goes burst then skill so her burst dont eat her skill's quill count as much.

Anyone with a shielder on the team can use this new sword actually. Passive works as long as a character has a shield, not as long as a character has a shield that they created. So just put Layla with Millelith and Favonius in your team, give this sword to your main dps, and watch as numbers go up. And the same goes for Retracing bolide too

here's a tip: instead of elemental damage goblet, use an ATK goblet. that way you don't have to infuse cryo, or use that mysterious unreleased character, you can infuse whatever element you feel like. you could use bennet instead so you get a huge atk buff AND self-melts and uh maybe replace shenhe with kazuha, or with yunjin for a similar but broader effect as her. that's probably way stronger maybe. and you could also use the other blue girl, the water one, from the desert. she also infuses and buffs and it would make it a self-freeze layla. see? many flavors!

Shenhe’s Buff relies on her *current* attack. It constantly updates the damage bonus even when she’s off the field, so the order you use chongyun’s burst doesn’t matter. It’s why you don’t see people insisting on placing Bennett’s ring before shenhes buff, any benefit from it will be lost when shenhe leaves the field.
