@@rhb-ve2358 Is that even a logic? Just because there are few names who followed a particular person? That's their personal choice. What Javed Akhtar said is about the mass. When same song has been sung by two different singers, the Kishoreda version became popular. He used examples such as Hume tumse pyar kitna, Tum bin jaon kahan etc. Listen to him properly first. He is talking in terms of mass popularity of those songs which Kishore Kumar sang with other singers. Moreover, it's not easy to follow him. Infact we have got a lot of singers who actually followed the great Rafi sahab wonderfully. Like Sonu nigam ji. But following a tiger voice like Kishoreda have never been possible by anybody.

He said I'm a fan of kishore since childhood singing his songs coz they were generally easy.. Rafis song i never tried coz his range and singing capability was difficult... And btw Talent and popularity r two different thing isn't it?And u say we don't see much singers following kishore da.. Bro it can also mean that singers usually get more influenced bby rafi and rafi has been the inspiration to most of the singers... . And bro kumar sanu followed kishroe sir if u forgot..in 1990 when ashiqui was released he was getting compared with kishore sir coz both had somewhat same emotion and deep voice

Kishore kumar seriously took playback singing after 1969!Prior to that he used to sing for SD Burman,Dev Anand and for his ownself! After 1969,he literally washed out all male singers,his versatility, his depth and acting intellects put everyone behind him! Listen what Lataji,Ashaji says about him,listen how the younger generation music director loves him and also listen those duets where he sang with other male and female greats and comes out as a clear winner! He never had a training of music,true, but he was the music himself,playback singers use to learn him till date!

@@rhb-ve2358 It’s ok bro to be a fan of second best singer in the world that’s Rafi sahab. I appreciate your love for Rafi ji but if your calling people who love Kishore Da have no sense of music then my friend even Lata didi said she hasn’t seen a better singer than Kishore Da. He’s a genius and can sing in any emotion. Yes I agree that Rafi was a more humble person but Kishore Da had faced a lot of humiliation in his early days which he never forgot. There are only three people who revolutionised the music industry and they were Kishore Da, RD Burman and Aasha ji.

Compare amongst singers like Md. Rafi, Manna Dey, Yesudas, Mahendra Kapur, Mukesh etc. All classical based singers with sheer prowess of singing. Plz don't compare with Kishore Kumar. He was a magician of vocal art. Beyond compare. Simple voice throw puts him in an unique class.

Sachin, Jacque Kallis, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar cricketing world ke institute hai...Inka class ultimate hai.. Par aap Kishore Da aur Rafi ji ke same songs jo unhone gai hai sunn lo aur dekho zada popular Kishore Da ka gaana hua. Ultimately public impress honi chahiye. Tum bin jau kaha mai Javed sahab ne khud bola Kishore Da had an edge over Rafi sahab. Aasha Bhosle also said Rafi ji used to sing the song strictly as composer says but Kishore Da new if composer made the song 90% how make it 100% while recording. If you know Bhim Sen Joshi he’s lion of all classical singers. Even rafi sahab is a mouse in front of Pandit Joshi ji. And pandit Bhim Sen Joshi said thank god Kishore didn’t learn classical, otherwise no one whould have recognised us as singer. And being a Kishore Da fan you’re saying my music sense is zero then I’m very happy I’m not Rafi sahab fan 😂😂😂😂

জাভেদ আখতার নিজেই বললেন তিনি নাকি কিশোর দার ফেন তাহলে ওনার জাযমেন্ট কখনোই ইমপারসিয়াল হবে না। কিছু কিছু গান কারো কারো মূখে ভাল লেগেছে তাই বলে সবক্ষেত্ৰে নয়। ৱোমান্টিক, তৱকতা ভৱকতা গান এই দুটো ক্ষেত্ৰ যদি বাদদিই তাহলে বাকী জায়গায় বড় শূণ্য। না কোনো গজল,দেশভক্তি,ভজন,ক্লাসিকেল,ফোক, সুফিয়ানা,ভাল কাওয়ালি নেই।।।

Sorry bro but Rafi ji's character was so humble that even if he were the worst singer ppl would prefer him over others...so opinion don't matter...the fact is in the 70s only 1 singer snatched the hindi music industry from a legendary singer called RAFI saab...even though he had zillions of enemies . and if we talk about singing abilities then definitely Kishore is better than Rafi saab (with all due respect)... 1 must keep in mind it is not a RAAG contest...but rather a singers ability to grasp the situation and the theme of the song.....otherwise Manna de would be the best bollywood singer in the 50s and 60s...not RAFI

With due respect to KISHORE KUMAR nothing to beat MOHAMED RAFI. Could Kishore have sung the BEJU BAWRA, DEEDAR, SHABAB etc songs? Jawedsaab, however knowledgeable and clever u may be, mind that u are not an authority. Remember what MannaDesaab, Naushadsaab, Balasubramaniam or Sonu Nigam had said about the quality and excellence of Rafisaab! Anyhow, everyone according to his liking. Nobody can impose his or her choice on others. Yes, Lataji, Ashaji and RD Burman had connection with Kishorda and they publicized him to the fullest and their chamchas heeded to their views. I am not surprised if u too are influenced by them. To most lovers of old Indian Film Music like me RAFI is the one & only.

Kishore kumar's position in Rafi's era was what udit Narayans position was in 90's Kumar sanu's era both singing left over songs,Rafi sab delibrately used to aviod many songs so that his colleagues may not suffer and they must also have some work.. World knows Rafi had no interest in money ,name and fame he almost left playback singing from 70-76 this is when kishore's fame rose ...see when Rafi came back in late 70's before his death he got national award and his genius reached another level...
