Interesting tests and once again the Fx barrels like the 218 and or high speed
@iandixon96044 жыл бұрын
Enjoying your videos my friend, Seems like the slightly bigger diameter suits the fx barrel better, speed down slightly due to larger contact area possibley. Good information Best wishes from the UK.

@@james1795 I don't own any fx guns so I was just going by what I watched. My LW barrels seem to prefer the smaller diameters.

@@iandixon9604 I have both FX and LW. The .177 LW barrel on my Air Arms prefers 4.52 diameter. Yet as most everyone knows by now, comparing an FX barrel to a traditional barrel is comparing apples to oranges. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

They seem to perform very well, altought at 30m only. But I watch the videos of all of them, and they sure are very good at long shots. The only thing is...they are not twice as good as other slugs to justify twice the price. This is NOT by any means a criticism, it's just economics and my wallet talking 😄. I wish them VERY well indeed. Thank you for another enlightening video...and waiting for more. 👍

@@johanloots2825 Europe, where the H&N (any weight) costs around 10€/200 and the Javelin around 18€/200 for the 25g. If you go heavyer, the diference is bigger. The 34gr are over 20€/200. The cheapest (and worse) slugs are the KnockOuts, around 8€/200. Average wise, you get the picture.😉 But flying in lead is expensive for sure, so... Another example: Nielsen slugs are great, but if you can get them in SA, they must be as expensive as they are in Europe because they are from the US. One thing I'm sure, apart from that, is that Javelins are very good, as you can see on this video. Cheers.👍

Which are better H AND N or Patriots?
@AimSmall17 күн бұрын
H&N originals are more accurate, but Javelins are softer and expand more on impact. If you do pest control then Javelin, if you shoot papaer targets then H&N.

if the slug needs high speed (950fps), leaving the barrel it wil slow down ( lets say 700 fps)at distance ,is it then stil accurate ?
@AimSmall4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it needs the initial high speed out the barrel to stabilize, once stable it stays accurate, these slugs have been designed to fight strong side wind as well, I still need to test them @100m and in strong wind to confirm this.
@peteralexben4 жыл бұрын
@@AimSmall i ask this because ,a slug stabilize because of rotation speed ,and that depends on the fps and barrel ,where a pellet has drag stabilty to
