You can't expect tight groups in less than ideal conditions and without harmonic tuning for each weight. All those slugs (weights), in the size your barrel prefers, should geoup under 1" at 100 yds.

Excellent info. Like Bob said hard to get a good read on accuracy with wind like that. The shots going high and low tell me you need a little more tuning. Try Maxed hammer then click back to 5. 8 to 8.5 mm on the valve then start at 100 bar and work up to in 5 bar steps. The PP seems to respond well at lower pressure . I can't get hold of those slugs over here in Australia but have had excellent results with 23 and 25 H&N both in .218. 25 mm groups used to be the norm at 100 but to make use of what slugs are designed for ( Long Range) you need 15 to 20 mm and (20 mm max size) nice round groups at 100 m to make use of them out to 200 or so . Slugs are Great for less wind drift but useless if shooting 50 to 75 mm groups at 100m

I hope you re do the groups when the conditions are a bit better

Very nice 👌 👍 Heavy 30 grain buck the wind. Too bad, not ideal conditions. Never miss your channel.

Those 30 grain 218s look very promising 😉. With no wind and a bit of a tweak I’m sure they’d be 1 inch groups 👍

Is it another great test ! I would like to know about speed of 30 gr .218, please. As my experience slug work very well with high reg(mine is setting at 140bars .22 caliber) if under 135 Bars I never get good result.
@AimSmall4 жыл бұрын
30gn at 920fps. My gun had been tuned to perfection. Reg at 125bar. Good shot count on max power, about 72 shots per fill
@jennysok4 жыл бұрын
@@AimSmall WoW good shots count. I think accuracy will be better at high reg pressure and speed. I recently test with .25 caliber slug. Barrel length is 600mm speed 970 FPS with 34 gr. Overall it’s good, but I think .22 caliber 27 gr slug is really great for 25m to 120m and shots count.

Use the superior standard, they out perform the heavy by a long shot in both pellets and slugs. Don't ask me why, ask FX.
@rizojehan4 жыл бұрын
I have the superior standard in .22 and i cannot group any slug better any reason why?
@AimSmall4 жыл бұрын
@@rizojehan Slugs are sensitive things, shoot pellets if they don't want to group. Slugs are not even close to slugs when it comes to accuracy, if you shoot a 5 shot group at 40m under an inch then you know you are doing great. Pellets will group at under 10mm at 40m.
