As an Argentinian, he's being honest on what he's saying. Milei promised economic adjustments and that's what he did and that's what he's doing. Prices rose a little bit since he came to office, but that's way different than seeing a 30% increase of every product every month. There's also a shift in mentality in terms of culture, people are shifting from wokism towards a more conservative society, we're going to our roots which is family.

I was in Buenos Aires last week and it is a fantastic place for a Spanish speaking tourist. The food there is very high quality and clean. Even soft drinks were good and I don't drink those in Europe. My orientation skills are very bad. I get lost in my own country. I got a local SIM card for 6500 pesos (i.e. 10 GBs for almost nothing) but the Southern hemisphere had killed the last fragments of my sense of direction. So despite using Google Maps I kept on getting lost (once I ended up next to the US embassy instead of Palermo Soho). So I just started to ask people in the street. I did that a lot. EVERY SINGLE PERSON helped me. Where else would that be the case? I noticed very few people in El Subte (Buenos Aires subway) addicted to their smartphones (compared to Europe) and I saw young people reading books there. A young man kept his eyes firmy on Shakespeare for 15 minutes. There is no mass tourism. Most tourists seem to be from neighbouring countries and don't feel like tourists. Several people thought I was Argentinian. A young girl even invited me to a political meeting to discuss "la libertad" (freedom). My favourite topic but I don't do politics when I travel. That would be unwise. I am sure the country has problems. I took the bus back to the airport because I had money on my SUBE card (public transport card). I saw some bad areas on my way to the airport. But the people on the same bus going to these areas were peaceful. Poor but peaceful. I recommend Buenos Aires to anyone who can afford the ticket and who can manage in Spanish.

Nobody mentions that this was essentially the beginning of WWI !!! The people coming in were likely going to the fastest, easiest port of entry! Because even though the US was almost 3 years away from entering the war, they would have been aware of who was fleeing and perhaps a bit more judgemental, selective. To kind of elude to Argentina as being a draw or desirable destination is extremely disingenuous. This guy is admittedly a cohort of Milei and consequently prone toward flattery and embellishment. It's telling that they've appealed to a demographic of 16 to 18 year olds. A group that, by definition, has no equity in the system. No savings and no accrued wealth. Meanwhile, the bulk of people in the country have had their savings wiped out. So, inflation has dropped to 4% monthly? Is he bragging? Certainly, good it's not where it was, but on the other hand, how much could it continue to drop? What's counted as a victory of policy could just as well be the natural bottom! His policy sounds like complete hog wash to me. Using the dollar as the basis of currency seems highly sketchy to me!! But, in a year, he'll be a hero, or they'll be stringing him up by his heals. Furthermore, he is a man who believes in God, and has a philosophical and moral basis for what he says, hence his conviction. What he says was always the same, the same, the same. Those of us who have read or heard it many years ago when no one knew it, can attest to that. Then, perhaps his effusive way of expressing himself is partly his personality, partly it may have been a strategy to get people to listen to him. Well, as General San Martin said: "One man shouting makes more noise than a hundred thousand who are silent." All the luck and you have to support him. Greetings from Argentina.

@bernardocarlosblanco
@bernardocarlosblanco 4 күн бұрын

Fun fact: I was an ignorant leftist when I was a teenager (14 to 18 aprox.) and Axel Kaiser (I'm Chilean too) changed my mindset at that time. That made a huge snowball because the youtube algorithm detected I was watching Conservative and Libertarian content and that's when Jordan Peterson started to appear on my feed. So for me, Axel Kaiser was the door to Jordan Peterson somehow and now they are talking to each other right here (lol). That was on 2019 and the same year I discovered Milei. I went from a lefttist, atheistic, nihilistic and depressive past, to be a Paleo-Libertarian, Christian and a very resilient men, not just by me, but because great minds and their influence like Peterson, and of course, Christ, my Lord. What a turn of events 😂

I live in Argentina, and I still can't see the changes he's talking about. Just people around me living a tougher life than ever.

People seeing things better are daydreaming, certainly delusional, the country is even worse than before, large corporations are the only ones cared for now.

Argentina was always going to get worse no matter who is president, now you are feeling austerity because of decades of mismanagement.

Thanks brother, here in Argentina the vast majority supports Israel. The Israeli people must not forget that the Argentine people always supported them, the only ones who are pro-Iran are the Peronists who precisely destroyed our country. God bless Israel

I'm sure Axel had a lot more to comment about Milei, what he has already done and what's about to happpen here - but the video seems cut. I'd love to hear more.

@@nahuelius Oh, ‘cry me a river’? What an ignorant and heartless response. Argentina is facing real economic struggles-rampant inflation, soaring poverty rates, and food insecurity affecting millions. Just because you're sitting comfortably somewhere doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist. Dismissing mass hunger like it’s some made-up sob story only shows how out of touch you are. Maybe educate yourself on the actual situation instead of being a callous keyboard warrior.
