Javier is so underrated, his latin/flamenco influence in such modern genre is always very refreshing

This guy has simply amazed me in all the videos I've heard him play in. Tosin kinda takes the spotlight in AAL but this guy stands out to me in the world of modern guitar players. He's clearly extremely passionate and excited about his guitar and pickups and he's just an amazing player all around.

Are the pickups different since the release of this ltd or is it just now they gave them a official name ? Can't wait for the new Mestis album

+LarryDiMarzio Any chance of a 7 String set?
@KYUBIMATIAS9 жыл бұрын
+LarryDiMarzio Just a thought, but if these pickups were designed to let the high notes in the melody ring out and not get drowned by the low notes from the lower strings, why did you guys name the pickups eclipse? Is that supposed to be a joke?

Those pickups indeed sound like they have "cojones" ;)

I would love to see a comparison of these vs. Tosin Abasi's signature puckups. I'll definitely put dimarzios in my 8 string (when I get one), and now I don't know which model I like better :p

Such a great musician. I love watching this guy play. AAL are amazing and Tosin is obviously a virtuoso but my eyes are always drifting to JR when watching them. More video, please!

that fret buzz absolutely kills me, damn 7 and 8 strings lol
@toemasmeems4 жыл бұрын
My 7 doesn’t have this issue at least on my 26.5 scale. The 25.5 does buzz a bit but I keep my tension quite tight to prevent that

i can't get over how flubby those low notes sound. i dont blame the pickups. maybe his string gauge or action. but damn...
@flyingmanforfun9 жыл бұрын
its the scale length..his sig got a 26.5 which imo is way to short for a 8 string, 27-28 is ideal
@themodernguitarist9 жыл бұрын
+flyingmanforfun No, it's 27''. His JR-208 sig is the longest-scale budget 8-string ESP makes.
@alfother9 жыл бұрын
+littleredguitars2 I know you commented like 3 months ago, but I imagine its flubby sounding because its really typical in mixing to really heavily highpass the signal after recording -- this removes some of the "flub." In a pickup demo, you don't want to do that to be as honest as possible, so I imagine they didn't, hence the flubbiness.

His playing is very interesting and unique. It's obviously shaped by AAL and "the Tosin style", but it's different at the same time. I saw him live eralier this year with AAL. They were amazing.

I really enjoy DiMarzio's 6-string offerings, but their extended range pickups sound odd to me for some reason. While the Air Norton is one of my favourite neck pickups, the 7 string version doesn't sound quite as good IMO. Has something to do with that metallic sound Mr. Reyes describes at 2:40 as "bite."
@obicross7 жыл бұрын
do you think it's because they use a ceramic magnets in their extended range pickups? some of the 6 string version has alnico and the 7 has ceramics instead...
@charvel1119 жыл бұрын
Will there be a 6-7 version of this pickup??
@GuillermoSmyser9 жыл бұрын
+Eddie Villalobos They made a 7 version of Tosin's pickups....I'd bet that they do make a 7 but not a 6. Just my guess tho.

hi Mr Larry DiMarzio, how much does it cost to make a custom pick up with DiMarzio, or is that to varied to say an estimate (say i wanted to have a tone similar to the X2N or X2N-7 depending on what the money situation is at the time i order a jackson costom shop guitar)? please note that i don?t mean right away i know that what ever the price is its more than i have right now but how much (approximately) would i have to save up? also i'm extremely happy with my X2N and X2N-7
@LarryDiMarzio9 жыл бұрын
+pegasynth elstrohea Hi, Sorry we do not offer any custom pickups as they require a lot of time and special attention, however, I suggest that you call the NYC office 718 981 9286 and speak with Eric. There a lots of stock items that may be exactly what you want. Hope that helps, Larry DiMarzio
