people are saying the crowd was boring, it wasn’t, being there was absolutely euphoric, energetic and magnetizing. you felt her presence around you, i had to unpop my ears in the end bc the crowd was so loud. no video recording from a concert will ever match the experience of actually being there.

All this "technology" leaving the lipa suspended by cables, left it completely without mobility and took the power out of the performance. you have to let the music roll, on stage, straight away, without these pauses, with the choreography. In the end, it wasn't good.

I’m afraid the crowd is not the problem. Levitating is such an infectious song (my favourlte by her by far) but such a boring performance is a killer. I get she’s “levitating” but she’s not inviting anyone to dance if she’s in a cage for over 3 minutes just posing and modeling. Having to see an artist up in the air for so long gets tiring. Good song, horrible performance 😭

As for singers who do eat the stage by just being there, I would name Shakira, Beyoncé and Madonna who without any dancers would still put up a show. Even Kylie Minogue who is not a dancer has that thing.

Honestly the entire show is like this and I have some major opinions: The main stage design is so weird, why would put the band and the backing singers in pits inside the main stage, it makes more sense to have them on the sides of the main stage, because it just looks crowded. There’s no Disco Ball, and considering Disco is a major influence on the parent album it would make total sense for her to have a giant one hanging in the middle of the arena or one above the main stage, especially for songs like Cool, Break My Heart, Hallucinate and Don’t Start Now. Levitating could be more fun if the cage she was in went to the back of the arena and around both sides, with confetti raining on the audience below during the last chorus. If they extended the outro, they would make it possible for her to get back to the B-Stage in time for the next song. Or as an alternative, she could sing Levitating on the main stage but during the chorus she is raised on wires (homage to her AMA’s performance) and would fly around the arena, complete with confetti raining on the audience during the last chorus. Using Lasers for just one song to me is a waste of equipment. Honestly I would have used them for Future Nostalgia, Hallucinate, Electricity and One Kiss. Honestly it just looks like the production designer did a half assed job and the creative team needed to do more research and hone in on the albums themes.

ITS POP MUSIC ! I get there isn’t particularly anything ground breaking on the original album but she brought together the best bits of the 70’s 80,s etc and made it fun. The remix album is even better xx
