Glad they got the Qb. But loving this draft is WAY to strong lol. They didn't get any playmakers at wide receiver. Could've drafted Mitchell outta Texas or Frankilin outta Oregon, but decided knaaaa... Let's get another strong handed contest catch guy who doesn't consistently separate. Patriots already have 2 of those guys ( Bourne/Smith Schuster). They don't need 4.3 40 guys that can stretch the field and at any given time can take it to the house. I'm starting to think it wasn't justl Belichick that couldn't draft wide receivers

Forget all the draft grades, big time QB talent in Drake, two receivers with incredible hands in the much-needed offensive line support. Oh, they even made a pretty good trade in my opinion.

Targets and playmakers is what Drake Maye needs right now. So glad the pats stuck at 3 and didnt buy the hype at receiver either. Lots of good players. I knew someone would slide here. I wrote a book on this pre draft seriously listening to the hype and i wasnt wrong per usual. The pats dont need to overpay a 1 right now. Or overpay glorified 2s who want to be paid like 1s in 3 years. They need 3's who play like disquised 1's. The money will come regardless if that is what matters. They signed osborne. They have douglas and bourne. Its going to be those 3 and henry. Plus they still have stevenson and improved their line. They signed gibson plus still have thornton and gesicki i think . Maye just needs targets right now and receivers to develop with. Deep draft this year at positions the pats needed and others too. Its just a good draft.

@@codylasik1380The Packers took a rapid fire approach on Wide Receivers and it’s worked out amazing for them so far. Mahomes just won a superbowl with no WR1, it’s not always the key to success.

If most of their picks and even Maye don’t pan out I think Jerod Mayo & Wolf took the right approach and actually drafted players that are based on our needs and with the right intentions of making our team better. Only question marks I had were on some of the Olinemen but you’re not going to love every pick and sometimes guys evolve into great picks. Look at Mike Onwenu… late round stud. This team is moving in the right direction with a young coach who was an amazing player and leader in this team and throughout his multiple superbowl victories. I love seeing a Defensive coach do what’s in the best interest of your organization. Bill would have drafted a bust corner in the second round then reached for a bunch of no name players. Gone are the days where we’re scratching our heads at why we traded up to take someone who doesn’t fit our team and doesn’t even look good on film.

I really don’t wanna hate on this kid, but we have more needs. This is our 8th wideout, meanwhile we have Gonzalez, who just had surgery, Jon Jones, who’s getting older, and Marcus Jones, who really isn’t a corner, as our guys. Next best is Shaun Wade. Mad that Tampa and Jackson just went because we are going strictly based off upside at a position that’s doesn’t need more depth. I hope the best for him and the team but it’s confusing to me…

Yes, we have more needs, and even after drafting Polk, wr was still a need. Defensively, they will be fine. Top 10 if everyone stays healthy. WR and OL help was more of a need than anything on defense right now.

Outside of Bourne kj Osborne and Douglas Douglas none of pats receivers are roster locks plus injuries are a factor so depth at WR is good and the talent level drops significantly outside of the three I just named
