And what are you guys using to control belt speed?
@daneshipway6615 Жыл бұрын
U don't
@reb23226 ай бұрын
There are different size pulleys on the drive pulley , so you can select one of them to regulate your speed. Aside from that, there is no way to regulate the speed electrically unless things have changed since.

@@reb2322 a VFD or variable frequency drive is an option for alot of applications. We use one on our infeed. Thats really the only place we use that. I've never dealt with generator electricity and it's concept is not well voiced anywhere I searched. I've dealt mostly with line phase voltage with 5 wires. So when a gen set has only 3, I had to wrap that around my head. I thought no neutral? How the fxxk does that work??? I was confused until I finally grabbed the roots of a balanced system. Im only a part time service tech at best. Degreed in Drafting and Machine Design with an AAT but no electrical training. When it finally made sense I became much more comfortable working with that type of voltage

I thought men without any PPE, loose fitting clothes and sandals were meant to hit the rocks with hammers while standing on a non-isolated belt?

What kind of starter do you use on the jaw? Contactor, VFD OR soft starter? Would it be possible to take a pic of whatever method you are starting it with?
@Rightomate2 жыл бұрын
Soft starter.
@jb-ik8sj2 жыл бұрын
@@Rightomate Thank you. That's how we finally decided to go. Especially after pricing 3 No.5 motor starting contactors. New Allen Bradley's are over $10,000 ea.! We picked up a Chinese soft start for $1,400

Cone crushers work by way of an eccentric shaft moving the crushing mantle side to side not by spinning those particular cones just have alot of headspin while running empty

What tonnage per hour does your plant produce? Also, I’m interested in cost/hour. I’m getting involved with a preliminary study regarding crushing a 185KT ore pile down to -3” material, that will then be put through a 35T/hr ore sorter. Ideally, I think -1” material would be best through the Steinert Ore Sorter, but for speed/delivery, management is thinking -3”. I’m arguing that -1” can be handled effectively through a system such as this, whereby both -3” & -1” material is created. Regards, GL, P.Geo (from Canada).

My question is what happens to the dirt when you load the crusher, and how do you get the dirt mixed in with the road base material?
@discoverwilderness3 жыл бұрын
The dirt falls onto a belt that is located at the bottom of the three deck shaker box just before the cone crusher. The same belt that the three quarter inch rocks travel on.
