Just a couple of observations. The lower three handle is the only adjustment. The lever on the lower anvil is only a quick release. There is nothing to hold it where you put it during operation. At 15:06, that is not a lock down but rather the adjustment for the bearing clearance. Good video. If and when you get to the point that you are actually moving metal on purpose, you'll want to make sure the metal and both wheels are spotless, lest any crud will imprint into the metal surface you are working on. For what you are doing here, no harm no foul. It is a tool doing what you need it to do.

Cut a piece of different sizes of inner tube and stretch over the top and bottom wheels (bottom wheel use a flatter radius) so you don't damage the finish as much.

@@btuff yah saw that, but it has a pretty deep bend in the quarter panel after .. you mentioned it while wheeling but then never said anything again :) did you just bend it back flat by hand ?

Hi, my name is Mike, my father was a gunsmith for 50 plus years in Ranson WV. He was in cowboy action shooting for a while. I have his felt cowboy hat. It is a hat by Eddy hat design. I was wondering how much you would charge ,or if you would do it at all, to reshape this thing. I would love to wear it but its out of shape. Please let me know. I imagine ou figured it out by now but do not put castes on that thing. The pressure you put on pushing metal through it would slide it all over the place.

@@btuff If you needed it to be mobile, I would suggest mounting the base to some 4x4 or larger wood, then mount HD retractable casters to the wood. Mobile when you need it to be, and solid when you don't.

The nice thing is the frame holds other related things and actually can ‘buy back’ the space it uses. So it really doesn’t need to be portable. Having worked in a number of shops - I’d say some OTHER wheeled tools like welders, drill press on a drawer cabinet, trash can… lots of other things can ‘park’ with it and do you better for time and spaces.

Use flat wheel on bottom also and shim bottom wheel on one side under the shaft to get into the corner piece bit metal or aluminium under one side of shaft should do the trick...lazzes metal shaping .... on utube for tricks about the English wheel

With a little bit of modification does harbor freight tools can be better if you would have bought one from Eastwood there a little bit better quality
