What a great pair they will make Jason. Hard to believe it would cost more to put a diesel motor instead of the gen set. considering what makes up the gen it looks like a lot more going on than just a motor, Crazy stuff. Jason, Just found your site and review of the gold mining process. I went to school in Dahlonega, Georgia. Most people don't know that Dahlonega, Georgia was the site of the first US gold mint and Price Memorial Building on the campus of North Georgia University was built on the original foundation of the mint. The gold on the capital dome at the Georgia State Capital and the gold on Price Memorial were panned in the streams around Dahlonega and many of the students I went to school with back in the 60's panned for gold in their spare time. The gold recovery process was much the same as you have shown in the West with rock crushers and copper plates covered in mercury. Many of the 49ers left Dahlonega in the mid 1800's for the California gold mines and the old court house has records of the miners that were once that families use to research.

i have your smaller crusher. i use it for testing rocks for gold. after the test i have to clean out the crusher for the next crush. i'm thinking of a way to run water at pressure through it to clean it for the next crush test. i also have one of your hammer mills with the same problem. even taking off the top i can't clean it out easily. am thinking of drilling a hole in the bottom, tapping screw threads for a plug, then for cleaning i would insert a thin, bent pipe for high pressure washing the sand out of the drain plug.

It works great on rebar if the rebar is smaller than the minimum jaw gap distance when crushing. It cleans it up and then can be pulled out with a magnet mounted over the discharge conveyor. Thanks
