This young man has many skills. The idea of 10 cylinders, in a radial engine, and supercharged, would stop anyone else from even starting this project. He succeeded, and the result is just fabulous ! The sound is unique, it goes well, and the finished paint and writing is super too. Maybe a big company will employ him to design a new space ship! Well done, Marek, and best wishes from England.

It's just stunning. He's done what many people would dream of (myself included) and get nowhere near. But it was the tiny blower for each cylinder that wowed me the most! I can see why a blower would be advantageous, but most people would just mount the one...
@charlesfriend9557

@ Ross Neil. Supercharging is mandatory on this engine, as it creates no crankcase pressure of it"s own. But I expected one large blower myself, rather than five miniis! Awesome build!!!
@creepingjesus5106
@creepingjesus5106 2 жыл бұрын
@@charlesfriend9557 Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Couldn't see where scavenging pressure/vacuum would come from, so it had to be a pressurised case, like Detroits and Napier Deltics etc. Given where the tiny blowers are, it must have isolated oiling for the crank too, like a Detroit. Come to think of it, I admire the sheer bloody mindedness of it! Little two strokes are one of the simplest engine designs ever, and then...🙏

I made 2 different engine's and I got them both out on the market too. I'm very proud of that. They were 2 cycle also. I made the proto types for American Cox. They put my ideas out on the market. A cox.049 rotary valve I got rid of the free porting under the piston extra air. Used a high compression head with big by pass transfer ports. I myself used a button head with removable glow plug. I rotary carbonator with air bleed and an exhaust muffler. It amounted to a responsive sport engine with almost the power of their own competition engine's. It was harder to start with the exhaust. The carburetor had a smaller needle valve jet than their competition engine but close. It had much more power than their sport engine and almost the power of their competition engine. Better throttling control and very good responsiveness. It was a throttle controlled radio control nitro methyl alcohol glow engine. rotary valve 2 stroke. It had the competition crank shaft and TD type cylinder. Like a dragon fly cylinder. For anyone familiar with the old Cox engine's. It was also possible to go diesel with the Davis diesel head. These engines motivated Russian Norvel to make their own version which was superior. Their version had snurl porting on the cylinders a removable cylinder sleeve better less restrictive exhausted. Aluminum block, brass cylinder sleeve I believe with chrome plated and aluminum piston with a wrist or piston pin. Aluminum connecting rod with oil gallery if you will. Norvel was more efficient. I could have made my engines from Norvel stock engine swapping techniques they call it. Meaning existing hardware stock made by someone else. Different collaboration. But in the half A engine sizes 05 and 09 I got out the full R/C engine's in that scale size, and I'm proud of that... My idea. And it successfully worked. People said it wasn't reasonable wouldn't work well on that scale so I made mine and proved it was possible reliable practical feasible, desirable, efficient. So there you go. I had to research and develope and engineer and test. A lot of testing and adjusting. My idea of course was applied to R/C off road truck's and I believe car's. 18th scale. Basically a more miniature Scale Complete Hobby engine. I may probably was first. I wondered why it wasn't already done. There you have it. I might add I do like Norvel, However I do miss American Cox. Saying Hello to Don at Cox, though I doubt he'd ever see this he worked with me and was is a great wonderful guy.

The technical prowess of this young man is very impressive, thank you for posting this. I see he didn't use poppet valves for the intake, so I guess the supercharger blows straight into the intake ports. On a side note: it took me a minute to figure out that by two-star you meant a two-row radial, different languages use different terminology so translation is always tricky. I always tell my students that Italian is not French using Italian words.

@CaptHollister
@CaptHollister 2 жыл бұрын
@@gerrydepp8164 I don't think so because in a two-stroke with crankcase induction each cylinder requires an individual crankcase volume that is the same as the cylinder displacement and is sealed off from the other cylinders, this simply doesn't appear to be the case here. Another way to feed a two-stroke is to fit it with a blower and a poppet valve in the head, which is also not the case here. That leaves the third way: a blower that blows into ports near the base of the cylinder, which seems to be what this gentleman did.
@tonym480

This Czech guys is just awesome. I read an interview with him (I'm also Czech), he explains everything there and he's so humble. For example he chose this bike to modify because he wanted to make his creation road legal, so first thing he did is he studied the laws regarding the modifications of vehicles and found out it goes by the laws of the year the original bike was produced. Which in this case is 1950s. So he is legally allowed to take one part of the bike and modify it - that would be the engine for him. But what he couldn't do is touch anything else - brakes, frame, lights, forget them, they have to be original. I'm glad there are so many people in the comments section praising this guy's achievement because it is honestly a modern day miracle. Bravo Marku, jestli si to přečteš, co jsi dokázal je neskutečný a doufám, že budeš inspirací pro další mladé šikovné lidi, aby se nebáli pokusit se dosáhnout svých snů.

That machine is just amazing. The details with gold leaf and stuff are absolutely lovely as well, what a beautiful bike. I wonder if there's a chance to get it registered...

WOOOW! That is engine construction as a form of art! I was already fascinated by the motorcycles that were built in Italy in the 60s and 70s, with 500cc six-cylinder in-line engines .... But the BISTELLA is more beautiful than a Swiss watch! Absolute upper class!

Muito interessante e criativo. Aqui no Brasil um mecânico chamado Riva construiu também uma Honda de 600 cilindradas a partir de quatro motores de 150 cilindradas. A motocicleta é chamada de Riva 600. Parabéns pra vocês!

What a stunningly lovely machine you have created. As is is, it gives me goosebumps to think of how it must accelerate and the smoothness of the engine is easily evident. I was pleased to see how elegantly you solved the need for supercharging, though I'm aware that it would be difficult to get the gearing just right. Sir, this is a marvel,right here. I imagine that you can taste the satisfaction that it brings you. Salute.

Creative genius is one of the human unique characteristics. We all share varying degrees. This guy's share maxes it out by at least 111%. He is up there with the greatest we have ever seen, surely!

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get the engines firing order right, what an interesting and unique machine, one of a kind, I'd be interested to see what power figures it produces

Firing order is simple 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-0 thanks two stroke cycle. I will put it on dyno when it will be ready, now it is its running up time and fine tunning...

The dog barks and the camera pulls back. Then I am like, WTF? The design and engineering in this engine are insane. How does one come up with this idea? I wonder what the power output is of this engine. What is the RPM range? As a novice mechanical engineer, I am very impressed by this. my own insanity tells me that improvements can be made at the bevel geat ratio. You have something here that, with improvement, could empress the world.

You should check out this, I believe Chinese guy who takes a bunch of discarded random broken engines, cuts them all apart, and builds crazy engines and bikes with them.... he's built a V4 out of 2 different engines, one 4t and one 2t engine and made a really good running 2t, a bunch of dual cylinder and triple cylinder 2t's and 4t's....all with just random engines he buys from like a little junk pile in a back alley... dude's crazy 😵‍💫
