I'm never really sure whether to go with Aphrodite or Artemis on the attack... would probably need to run the DPS mod to get a feel for both.

Yeah, I think if you find Hunter's Mark soon enough it really pays off to have the attack. Otherwise you have to get a different tier 1 boon from artemis and delay finding hunters mark.
