JAWS Remastered Ending (with new explosion)

FOOTAGE AND SOUNDS DO NOT BELONG TO ME!
Since many JAWS fans disliked the sound changes made for the 25th Anniversary DVD, I decided to remaster the sounds, specifically the ending. I also included a different version of the explosion, featuring bits from Shark Attack 2 and JAWS The Revenge.

Sharks eyes roll back when they attack, after i learned this i could not get it out of my head every time i saw it not happen in the movie, but they did have a lot of issues with Bruce so that was the last thing they thought of i guess

With the remastered version, the music, soundm and explosion is very clear! Plus, you get to know what Chief Brody is saying as he is firing the rifle, with the Orca boat almost completely submerged in the water!!

I actually prefer the Mono track. They added sound effects that where not there originally and took away sounds like the liquid hiss when the shark dunks its head back down under the water

After watching the film with the remastered soundtracks, I'll never watch JAWS without the mono track again. The remastered sounds are too clean and don't mesh with the production soundtracks they couldn't replace.

I dunno 🤷‍♀️? I think it's a bit excessive? The sound 🔊 seems to come from off camera somewhere at times, and the explosion 💥 that ultimately kills Bruce the Shark 🦈 looks like someone has ignited a stick of dynamite or used Semtex or otherwise set off a bomb, not suddenly pierced a compressed oxygen tank with a bullet so the liquid oxygen suddenly expands to be a gas , which is why you have to be so bloody careful with them, as Hooper says.

Interesting as an experiment, but the high fidelity modern sounds don't mesh with the old soundtrack, and they never do in any movie. It always brings attention to itself, and that's how you know when you've failed.

This indeed was an experiment with sound editing because I was messing around with sound effects, so I decided to mess around with old movies and tried to remaster them. And thanks for the advice! I will take it into consideration next time. 😁

At 0:18 shark growling, funny. When I first saw this movie in 76, I always thought that Brody shoving the dive tank in the sharks mouth was just a lucky happenstance that he found an object to stave off the shark while he escaped. I then thought that the shooting and explosion in the end was just a lucky opportunity Brody was able to capitalize on during a desperate moment. Now seeing it here and hearing him say a few times "come on blow up" shows that brody planned this all along. This seems a bit unrealistic to plan under pressure and expect the shark to be holding the tank in the perfect position when the moment of truth presents itself. A bit corny and Spielberg should have known better. Other than that a great movie! I agree with others that the remastered explosion was a bit over the top. good experiment though.

I mean hooper was very pissed when Brody dropped it . And so he knew how sensitive the tanks could be . There is even a scene later where Brody like makes sure the tanks are damaged or that they are properly secured
