Remember when the wedding preparation was underway, she was at a restaurant whose marquee sign said “don’t do it Brittany, run!” and she had a complete meltdown defending her desire to marry him. Well, I do. I think it was more about proving everyone that doubted them wrong - like a competition to get down the aisle with the dude who showed her exactly who he was (see every woman he dated and cheated on - including her). For me, it’s a clear case of playing a stupid game and winning stupid prizes. He is never going to love her more than he loves himself. Ever. So again, run Brittany. Run!!!!!

She knew exactly who Jax was the entire time. Jax is the type of man and I use the word man loosely who will not change until something really dramatic happens in his life or until after andropause. Those type of men only change when they end up in a vulnerable situation like when they get chronically ill, are broke, or when they hit andropause and their testosterone levels get lowered until then they'll be out getting into all types of trouble and cheating. Jax also has a serious lack of impulse control. He probably needs to be on meds.

While I don’t think what’s going on with Brittany is not right (no woman should have to go through this!), I think we forget that SHE weaseled herself back into Jax’s life when his father passed. Jax is a complete idiot, but Brittany knew what she was doing. If you watch the season they get engaged, he even brings it up that Brittany was there for him during dark times (Dec 2017). And the next year they got engaged (June 2018) so she could have spared herself a massive heartbreak if she would have just left him alone. He literally cheated on her and said she wasn’t pretty enough for him. She literally heard him say that and then still kept going. So, sorry not sorry, she brought this ALL on herself. Jax wants the Brittany he first met who was careless and ridiculously fit/beautiful, and Brittany wants to feel as loved as Jax made her feel when they first met. Brittany can’t be carefree and Jax doesn’t have the capacity to love someone that isn’t beneficial to his life (like a careless wife). She has a husband, toddler, and household to take care of while still having a work life balance. I do wish her the best, but this is the life “she wanted.” 🤷🏼‍♀️🚩🚩🚩💔

I commend Brittany for having the wherewithal and maturity in recognizing that something needed to change before it became too toxic. Whether they get back together or not, I’m sure they will figure out a way to either work it out or at least be good parents for their son, through coparenting. Brittany has always had a good head on her shoulders, so I think they will figure it out. My only question, why did she and her son have to leave the house?
