My ex-husband, a narcissist, did this to me and our daughter. He refused to leave the marital home (it was about his image and how it would look to others; there is no caring or concern for the wife's and/or the child's welfare or comfort.) Ofc, I left hlm and the marital home. He was a serial cheater; the day I left was the day after I asked for a divorce and he pulled a shotgun on me in front of our daughter. My daughter begged me to not have him arrested so, instead, I had him taken to the local psych ward whereupon he was released the following morning (he is 'connected', via local sports teams as well as coaching, to the 'big shots' in our community. This was a calculated, successful move on his part.) When he walked in the following morning after being released (no one contacted me to discuss what actually happened the night prior) and began mocking me, I began packing my suitcases. It has been over 20 years, and he has not changed at all (I know this via our daughter.) He manipulated a local pastor into ordaining him and then proceeded to 'steal' half of that pastor's congregation and start his own 'church'. He never had a real job in his entire life (he worked in recreation for the local govt office; he literally got paid to play basketball and the like with teenagers. For narcissists, it is ALL about ego, money, power, and 'fame'. To this very day, my ex lies about me (it is a small town so it gets back to me sometimes.) He mounted a successful smear campaign against me (telling people how 'worried' he was/is about my being a drug abuser and being so promiscuous...as well as my being crazy and violent. None of this is true, but people believed him because they think pastors do not lie. Also, I kept to myself and was never given an opportunity to defend myself against his allegations. He is older now and has pretty much destroyed the church and his second marriage, but he remains unrepentant and arrogant to his very core. He has ruined many lives because he was allowed 'power' (e.g., he did marriage counseling at his church and there was a inordinately high percentage of divorces as a result. Because he is a mysogynist (as well as possessing other narcissistic personality traits), he gave terrible marital advice and mostly counseled the couples separately. He almost always took the husband's side no matter what, while being sure to comfort and support the wives he deemed physically attractive) I know this to be a fact because I know most of the people involved. His current wife (who he moved into our marital home before I could even get my clothing out of it) wants him to leave their marital home (they have 2 adult daughters together who do not even speak to their father); he refuses to do so. And this is my snapshot example of my (I would wager as correct) theory as to why Brittany and their son are forced to live outside the marital home....Jax is refusing to leave and it is the only way Brittany can get away from his emotional (I hope it is not physical as well) abuse . To Brittany: Do as you will, but please know he will NEVER change. Research narcissistic abuse, and I guarantee you will feel like you could have written most, if not all, of what you read.

Jax likes his women trim and fit!, and there is nothing wrong with that. Brittney doesn't seem to want to put in the work needed to stay looking as good as she did when they first got together..(and don't come at me about baby weight, because I gained weight in both my pregnancies, and worked hard to successfully lose it afterwards, and she was already getting big before she got pregnant ) If my husband was in good shape when we met, and then gained a huge amount of weight, I would no longer be attracted to him the same way either! And perhaps it's better that they separated because Jax has personal demons and his life is never going to be smooth and right. And Brittany will. do better away1from him. Because this will give bher the time to get OVER HIM. See that her life is BETT ER without him and that she can SURVIVE WITHOUT HIM.
